En plein centre de La Grave, avec un parking en face, une piscine, un resto

Hôtel bien situé et propre.La piscine est très bien aussi. Personnel souriant et aimable. Je conseille vivement cette hôtel.

Bel accueil, bonnes prestations, beau confort.. Super séjour

Hôtel qui offre une vue époustouflante sur la Meije et son glacier ! Il nécessiterait une rénovation mais il offre tout le confort ( notre salle de bains était récente) et une piscine agréable pour les bains de soleil mais eau non chauffée...! Mention spéciale pour la cuisine réellement de qualité, bravo au chef, la souris d’agneau, l’osso buco et la truite nous ont laissé un très bon souvenir ! La situation de l’hôtel est stratégique, nous reviendrons !

Très bon séjour. La chambre est correcte avec un lit double de 160. Salle de bain un peu petite mais très propre, le personnel très accueillant et au petit soin. La cuisine du restaurant est excellente. Nous sommes ravis et nous reviendrons très certainement.

Great position

I was really ill on my stay unfortunately and didn’t get to ski as I had such a bad sickness bug. However this did mean I spent a lot of time in the hotel, and the hotel staff and general cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic. I asked for the linen changed on extra occasions and the maids were excellent. Also as I was feeling ill and not able to eat all the richness of the hotel menu, and they were able to make me plainer alternatives! Fantastic customer service.

Very enjoyable hotel with full service restaurant and bar. Staff was friendly and room was clean and beds comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Tres bonne situation (proche du télécabine de la Meije)

Ottima posizione con vista sui ghiacciai della Meje, staff gentilissimo, camere pulite e accoglienti. Il tutto a un prezzo molto conveniente. Perfetto!

Une institution à la Grave, un personnel attentionné, tout est fluide, très propre, professionnel.

I stayed at the Hôtel Castillan for one night on the way back from a cycling trip in the French Alps. Firstly, the location is amazing and the view of the mountain glacier was fantastic (I had a mountain facing room at the front). The room was clean and tidy - and had a balcony too, with a table and chairs, which was a welcome feature to view the surroundings from. In terms of parking, I pulled into a space right in front of the hotel when I arrived, so was very easy, but there seemed to be plenty of parking available opposite. I particularly liked the restaurant here, the food was great. I'd return to stay again - I didn't have enough time here!

We spent three nights at Hotel Castillan. It was the only hotel with rooms available when I booked and as it was only 2 stars, I was a little apprehensive. However, on arrival we found It has just about the best views in La Grave across the valley to La Meije and its glacier. Ourr 2nd floor room was not enormous but sufficient, with an interesting take on en-suite, with the bath in one alcove and the basin and loo in another. But, it was clean and comfortable and the view from the balcony was amazing. The hotel staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The buffet breakfast was fine - we had fresh croissants and coffee each morning - and we ate in the hotel restaurant each evening, where the food was wonderful - local Savoyan specilaties were especially good, and the chocolate fondant to die for! We spent one day walking the Sentier du Facteur - a walk from the hotel up through the hills to a smaller village in the next valley - more amazing views, flowers and birds. and the second driving up to the Col du Lauteret and its Alpine Garden and on to the Col du Galibier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit La Grave.

Hôtel tout-à-fait conforme à nos attentes

hôtel face au magnifique glacier de la Meije mais chambre sur "jardin" (sinon avec supplément) en fait, chambre sur parking (qui par ailleurs nous a été refusé; nous nous sommes garé sur le parking public) salle de bain en préfabriqué et à notre arrivée cheveux dans la minuscule salle bains... salle à manger vieillotte. Et petit déjeuner un peu limite pour 9 euros par personne (par rapport à d'autres hôtels de même catégorie). Chambre spacieuse mais télé un peu petite ou placée un peu loin.

A great location to tackle L'Alpe d'Huez and Galibier. Great weather while we were there.

J'ai réservé une nuit dans cette établissement, dans une chambre double. Ma copine m'accompagnait, mais puisque j'avais reservé pour 1 personne sur la plateforme Hotels.com, l'hotel m'a fait payé 45% de prix en plus !! Bien entendu, l'hotel a justifié sa décision sur le fait que j'avais reservé pour une personne... et que la chambre n'était pas destinée pour deux (un lit double je rappelle !). Du coup, l'établissement s'est permis une surfacturation...mais n'a évidement pas pris le soin d'équiper la chambre en serviettes ! SCANDALEUX ! On ne parlera pas du plancher horrible qui craque... ou vous pouvez facilement suivre l'activité de votre voisin de l'étage du dessus.
