Séjour agréable chambre confortable quoique mériterait des travaux

Price of the room too much expensive Room is big but dark Shower door leaking Spots of urine on the walls of the toilet My husband almost stepped on the pin in the shower, we had to remind the stuff to bring apologises ! Price of the breakfast (14.5 euros) is too high (it is a regular continental breakfast, nothing special). Think about taking breakfast in the small brasserie at the corner

Vu le tarif de la chambre, je m'attendais à mieux. La chambre est certe propre mais n'a rien d'exceptionnel. Elle est plutôt petite. Les chambres ne sont pas du tout insonorisées. J'entendais les voitures dans la rues et mon voisin de chambre. Ma chambre est même restée ouverte toute une journée car la personne qui a fait la chambre a oublié de la refermer ensuite ! C'est bien la première fois que ça m'arrive et j'ai très peu apprécié même si cela n'a pas eu d'effets. Il faut savoir que le bâtiment est en deux parties. Dans la partie où j'étais, il ne semble y avoir que 4 chambres. Il est possible que le 2ème bâtiment soit plus agréable. Sinon l'hôtel est plutôt bien situé. A proximité de la gare et du centre.

Très agréable hotel. Le soir il y a peu de choses à faire car c'est une petite ville. Pensez à réserver une place au restaurant.

Cet hôtel bénéficie d'une renommée "historique" mais n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles, sans doute pour conserver son côté "authentique". Le restaurant associé (bâtiments annexes) est quant à lui excellent.

Notre séjour d'une seule nuit , on l'aurait bien prolongé pour le charme de cet hôtel et légalement pour le restaurant

The Hotel was a welcome overnight stay after a gruelling drive but the absolute cream on the cake was the evening meal at the restaurant. Has to be included in my top ten meals ever, not just art on a plate but what an eating experience. It would be worth driving for hours on end just to eat their again.

We booked the hotel as a convienient stopover to the south of France but was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's amazing restaurent which boasted a Michelin star. We opted for the three course menu at Euros 39. The hotels rooms are nice each with a little private garden.

This is my 4th stay at La Cognette, but will be my last. The prices are fairly high for the area. Staff is not helpful - didn't have my reservation, even though I had a confirmation number and took about 20 minutes to resolve (they don't speak English well and I know just a little French). It was finally resolved, but pretty frustrating after a long flight and super long drive from Paris. There was no shampoo in the bathroom, when asked for Shampoo - was told she didn't understand (the word for shampoo in French is shampooing). Ended up using body wash for shampoo - not a great idea for a business meeting. Was a hassle and look forward to staying somewhere else next time. Hotel room was dusty and dirty and my room had super steep steps to both the bedroom and bathroom. Try another place in Issoudun or drive to Bourges - a larger city.

hôtel charmant, calme, confortable et la cuisine est merveilleuse

We drove from Paris to Issodun - took us nearly 4 hours! Arrived at 1.30am - no one was around. But the staff was clever in putting our room keys in a special ATM which is able to dispense the room key. No lift to the rooms (mine happen to be on the 4th floor!), and dead tired. Once you enter the room, you realise that it is clean and well maintained. Easily slept through the night and refreshed for the next morning work. Good no-frills hotel.
