Perfect stay. Great room; lovely indoor pool; farm animals!

Amazing place and great food, the bistro is actually better than the main restaurant. Very well run and good staff! Would cost much more if more south !

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights over the new year at the Chateau de Beaulieu. The room was spacious and comfortable. We ate the first 2 nights at the brasserie. The food and service was good and we looked forward to our New Year’s dinner in the Michelin star restaurant. The 7 course menu was prepaid at €350 a head. We were seated at 8.30 in the restaurant. We ordered water and after 20 minutes we were served a glass of Taittinger champagne and a small tub of local caviar and 6 small blinis. It seemed like part of the menu and we assumed that it was the amuse bouche. We ordered wine and had to wait 1 hour for the first course to arrive. Throughout the evening we had to repeatedly serve our own drinks as we seemed to have been forgotten. The food was pretty average. For the meat course we had chicken and after we had started eating a member of staff came to grate some tasteless truffle over the dish ( which was already half eaten). The shock came the next day when settling the bill. The caviar and champagne was charged €250. The tasteless truffle €60. We were also charged 2 extra glasses of champagne at €96 and €45 more than the list price of the wine and €140 for a brunch we never had. I understand that certain dishes are extra charged but one should inform the customer and give the customer the choice. I would have never ordered the caviar or the extra truffle. I ended up paying €310 extra on food I never ordered. I felt very disappointed overall

Fabulous modernisation of an historic property with a fine swimming pool, lovely kitchen gardens and a memorable breakfast.

This was our second visit, the first was in November 23 when it was cold and grey but we enjoyed it so much we came back to enjoy it in the summer. The gastronomic restaurant is as good as you would expect with prices to match but the brasserie is also outstanding with a far lower price tag. The hotel staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble (in the November my wife left her glasses in the room which were promptly dispatched to our home in the UK without issue). The rooms are well equipped, clean and tastefully furnished - we have had rooms overlooking the lawn and ponds both times - and the beds are comfortable. In short, a very relaxing place to stay and/or enjoy superb meals cooked by a renowned chef.

Wonderful experience

Not our idea of a chateau hotel, a feel of a motel in some areas. Lots of guests complaining at reception, noisy guest in a connected room - dealt with by the hotel but not in the best way. Good food in the brasserie but very cafe feel

Lovely setting

Wow what a rare find. Firstly it’s magnificent and then we booked last minute and the hotel called us to find out what time we’d arrive (it was 10pm) and to ask if we’d like some food on arrival how about that. They were amazing. Got us a great meal to take to our room 10.30pm and arranged a dog bed and it was just totally first class. Advertised as 5 star and made it in every way. From the team on the front desk, to the chef and the overnight team as we had to leave at 6am to continue our journey to Italy. I will 10000 percent stay there on my return but get there early enough to enjoy the restaurant and atmosphere. Not sure who owns this place but I’d reckon privately owned. If employee all the people there in a heartbeat. When we got up at 5.30 they were already in the kitchen making breakfast.

Sehr ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit schönen Zimmern und einer gehobenen Ausstattung. Grund für die Buchung war natürlich auch das angeschlossene zwei Sterne Restaurant. Sehr leckeres und ausgezeichnetes Frühstück. Kleiner, aber feiner Wellnessbereich und ein schöner großer Pool. Leider hatten wir in unserem Zimmer ein Problem mit der Klimaanlage, das nicht gelöst werden konnte, so war die Nacht doch schon sehr warm. Dafür wurden wir mit einem kostenlosen Frühstück entschädigt. Fazit: wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

The chateau and surroundings were fine with the property well maintained but the creativity and quality of the food in both the informal bistro restaurant and the fine dining restaurant were the real standout characteristics of this stay. These were exceptional.

Excellent one night stay. Particularly enjoyed the diner in the new restaurant. Clever cooking.

The chateau is beautiful, the staff are really friendly, and the rooms are amazing. We had a great time and will definitely be returning on our next trip through France - look forward to when the spa is finished.

Typical R&C high standards of comfort, cleanliness and facilities. Restaurant is outstanding as you would expect from a Michelin star chef. Grounds are a mix of eco and decorative. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect.

Le calme, le confort de la chambre, je regrette que la douche ne soit pas auto, elle fuit et ne se régule pas et cafetière entartrée, La brasserie succulente mais ne pas oublier de mentoinner quand la plancha remplace le barbecue

Très bon accueil. Chambre décorée avec goût. Seul petit bémol, odeur de cuisine dès le matin au réveil dans la chambre , odeur remarquée la veille, à notre arrivée dans le couloir.
