Staff across hotel and restaurant were great. We enjoyed the bar as well

The staff were so nice!!! They weee welcoming, attentive, and friendly to us. We wanted to ride bikes on the wine trail and have a picnic. Of course we’re were unprepared but we explained to the staff and they so kindly have us linen cloths, napkins, cutlery, cups. We had a great time. Two thumbs up.

This was one of our best hotel stays of all time. Fabulous, attentive staff, great breakfast (with additions if you'd like, not necessary in our opinion). Beautiful, comfortable rooms and beds, and the most powerful shower. We would love to stay here again.

Excellent location with very helpful staff

Beautiful hotel in a great location

Not a thing to complain about. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Amazing shower! Margeretha, Alexi, and Sarah went out of their way to helps us with restaurant reservations and car service too n from the train station. Ryan took great care of us in the bar. Kevin made sure we had everything we needed in the room and wrangled our luggage. Mark pointed us in the direction for great wine tasting and helped us solve most of the world’s problems with intriguing conversation. Finally, kudos to Meghan the manager, she runs a finely tuned property. Side note she really knows how to run the espresso machine in the bar! You won’t regret a stay here, I promise.

Our stay at Maison 1896 was defined by its perfect location in the heart of Beaune, everything felt effortlessly within reach, yet the hotel itself remained calm and intimate. The staff truly made the experience. I wasn’t feeling well upon arrival, and they immediately adapted, arranging a seamless, fast check-in so I could rest as soon as possible. Their care didn’t stop there; they kindly sourced the necessary medicine from a nearby pharmacy, which made all the difference. We stayed in the Beaune Suite, which was charming, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed ideal for a relaxing stay. A place where genuine care and attention elevate every detail.

This is the most beautiful hotel in Beaune in a beautifully renovated building and exceptional service. I highly recommend it.

The property is a newly renovated boutique hotel with approximately 16 beautiful rooms. It is in an historic building in the center of Beaune opposite the Hospices de Beaune Museum. You are within walking distance to dining, sightseeing, shopping and wine tastings at the prestigious Burgundy wine houses and tunnels. Close to all of the Cote de Beaune and Cotes de Nuits vineyards. The hotel is tastefully appointed and opened in 2024. The entire staff is professional , courteous and friendly. I would like to commend the Front Desk manager Benjamin and his entire staff for their warm welcome and attentive assistance to every detail and request. I would also commend the bar staff, Francois and Ryan. They were truly welcoming, friendly and professional. I wish we could have stayed longer in Beaune. Hopefully we will visit again and stay at the Maison 1896.

Excellent Hotel!!

This is my new favourite hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and engaging. Our room was beautiful and well appointed. The food at The Slanted door was delicious. Our experience there was 10 out of 10 and we can’t wait to be back.

Breakfast could have been better with more options or at least, given the very limited options, not charging for the eggs. That seemed a bit cheap to me given the nature of the hotel.

Beyond a doubt, this was the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed in. Beautiful decor with high quality fixtures and amenities. The staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. It really should be considered a 5 star hotel in every way possible. The breakfast was delicious with loads of choices for every dietery need. We were so disappointed that we were not able to spend more time in Beaune and this beautiful hotel. It will be a must visit during our next trip to France!!!!
