Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 2 nuits, au dernier moment nous avons demandé une nuit supplémentaire, l’hôtel nous a proposé sa dernière chambre disponible : une suite à 460€. À notre très grande surprise à l’exception d’un petit canapé la chambre était identique à ce détail prêt : pas de climatisation !!! Chambre vendue 120) de plus la nuit !!! Bien sûr non précisé lors de la réservation, et lorsque l’on regarde sur le site il est bien précise : climatisation dans les chambres. Il faudrait donc faire préciser que certaines chambres ne sont pas équipées de la climatisation (celles vendues le plus cher)

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely little town built around thermal spas. The six of us had three rooms : ours was spacious and lovely. Our friends who had booked a suite were not able to check in until late afternoon since their room was not ready. They were then given a tiny room a few doors down from where they were told they would be. Not off to a good start.... Then, after we were told that it was okay to open a bottle of wine that our friends had brought from Bordeaux we enjoyed the warm afternoon sun on one of the numerous patios... Until the waitress told us that there was a €45 corkage fee! Dinner was lovely and expensive and three hours long.

Bastide rénovée, jardin parfaitement entretenu, personnel au petit soin, discret et serviable, parties communes avec une multitude de petits salons, tout est remis en place après utilisation, bref le luxe. Chambre de qualité, bonne literie, mais disposition pas forcement maximisée, du fait de l'age de la bâtisse. Spa moyen, sans charme et soins idem, ne vaut pas le prix. Restauration également à améliorer pour la catégorie R&Chateaux.

Fantastic staff, excellent food, lovely public rooms and garden, what more could we want? Just a 'suite' that actually is a suite and not a bedroom with two chairs, oh and a window please with a view of...well...anything! And maybe coffee served in the room and a pool towel! La Bastide has the potential to be great, it's just struggling to get over the finishing line.
