Fabulous stay! This is the hotel you want to be to relax in the evenings and start your morning with a sunrise on the water.

The location is magic. The cleanliness is excellent. The staff are indifferent with booking details, and the service in the bar is tardy but overall it’s a nice place to stay.

Great location, friendly staff, very helpful making other arrangements.

Great, walkable location with ocean front rooms. Friendly staff. Connected restaurant/bar. Very close to the Villefranche train station. Only downsides - the air conditioning in the room was weak and it was a little noisy at night since the location is so central

Welcome Hotel is in a wonderful location, right on the water with incredible views. Terrific restaurants are just a few steps away as is shopping. Easy rideshare or taxi access to the area. Front desk staff was fantastic as were the other staff. We had a problem with the shower drain and they were immediately on it and solved it. Rooms can be a little funky, but that's part of the boutique charm. Our room was spacious (by European standards) and the balcony overlooking the Mediterranean was spectacular, especially at moonrise. I would highly recommend Welcome Hotel. 5 stars without doubt.

This is a good hotel with very well trained courteous staff. The seafront location us attractive and convenient to appreciate Villefranche. There us no swimming pool at the hotel and the beach facilities in Villefranche are limited.

A perfect spot to stay in Ville Franche Sur Mer! The ideal spot for a little shopping, going to the beach and watching all of the boats and yachts in the bay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and we loved our suite with balcony overlooking the water. 5 minutes walk from the train station. The only hotel on the water in this beautiful little town!

This hotel is amazing. It’s in a great location and the staff are helpful and friendly. The view of the water from our balcony was amazing and a great place to have coffee in the morning and a nightcap in the evening. Highly recommend!

We spent 2 nites here. The Welcome hotel is a perfectly nice place in beautiful Villifranche. My expectations for the hotel were built up very high from things I had read so that when I arrived it was somewhat disappointing. There is really nothing special (good or bad) about it EXCEPT the location which is situated right on the harbor with spectacular views of the water. The rooms are a 3-4 star quality with a shower/bath combo that makes it very difficult to stand while taking a shower. One real negative is the parking. They send you across the street and down the block to a public parking lot. That's OK except when it gets busy (every evening beginning around 5pm) and the lot fills up. Then you have to wait until someone leaves before they let you in. I had to wait for 20-25 minutes when I got there for check in. The next nite we were out past midnight and we had the lot all to ourselves! Frustrating

Welcome Hotel is the best-kept secret of the French Riviera. It lies in the corner of a little resort-like area at one of Villefranche-sur-mer. Tons of places to eat, train stop nearby, super quiet rooms, amazing breakfast buffet, extra comfy beds, incredible views of the harbor, air conditioning, and incredible staff. What a dream. Can't wait to return to this romantic getaway someday...

Loved it

The location could not be more perfect— right in the heart of villefranche with close proximity to restaurants and the beach. The view from our hotel room was also fabulous. However, the room was very small with only enough room to really walk around the bed. The furnishings were also outdated and could use updating. Some staff members were helpful, though the front desk was generally not helpful.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this property. Location, location, location! But also, the service was A from the check-in team, to the baggage handlers to the restaurant staff. I maintain that the breakfast was the BEST French breakfast I have ever had! We will be back!

Awesome location but way overpriced for what you get (breakfast is not included?!). The biggest disappointment is that the wonderful location is diminished by loud music from the nearby rooftop disco that plays late into the night. I’ve been coming to this hotel since 1989. It’s always been excellent, until this stay. What a disappointment! Sadly, that’ll be me last stay.
