Very happy for service about my birthday cake

This hotel is right next to Munich Central Station, and it is very convenient to use public transportation. The location is really good for moving anywhere in Munich. The facilities are great, clean. The breakfast was really great, too. Especially, you can get pancakes on request, and it was really delicious. However, if you go at a busy time, employees may be slow to respond. there are so many places to shop nearby. The hotel wrongly charged the minibar fee, but the response was good as well, responding to the request for double-check immediately and canceling it. (But it would have been better not to charge incorrectly.)

The best hotel in Munich! I stayed at Sofitel for two nights: Christmas Eve and Christmas. I loved the hotel for its service, amenities, and clean rooms. I miss the hotel already! I would definitely stay at Sofitel if I come back to Munich.

Nice location near many things. Just a quick walk from the main train station. Wish there was a clock in the room. Wish the king bed I requested was an actual king bed, not 2 twins pushed together. Staff was very pleasant.

Eins vorweg: ich mag dieses Jotel wirklich, aber der Sanitärbereich ist von der Grösse her eine Frechheit. Im Bereich des WC und Waschbetons ist es so eng, dass man sich als Person von fast 2m kaum drehen und wenden kann! Dies sollte so nicht sein, unabhängig von der Zimmerkategorie!

Great location for arranging day trips from Munich via train.

Staff is helpful , manager on duty was really sweet and recommended very good dining option. Spa services are really good.

Hotel was pristine and in a good location to Munich. Parking was limited so we had to park in a close garage for $40 a day. Some of the buffets were pricey, but food and options were good.

Meine Frau und ich hatten einen Aufenthalt vom 27.12.2024 bis 01.01.2025. Das gewählte Luxury-Zimmer war sehr modern eingerichtet und wurde durchweg sehr sauber gehalten. Besonders lobend möchte ich das sehr bequeme Kingsize-Bett erwähnen. Eine Glasschiebetür, die wahlweise durch ihre Position nur die Toilette oder nur die Dusche abdeckt, haben wir als sehr unvorteilhaft empfunden. Obwohl unser Zimmer Richtung Bahnhof zeigte, war störender Lärm für uns aus dieser Richtung nicht wahrzunehmen. Um unsere Belange oder Anfragen wurde sich immer umgehend gekümmert, egal ob nun ein anderes Kissen durch uns gewünscht war, wir Badezusatz für die Badewanne brauchten oder eine Änderung für uns am Abendmenü für Silvester vornehmen wollten. Das tägliche Frühstück glänzte mit einer breiten Auswahl und sehr guter Qualität von Weisswürsten, frische Säfte, über gute Croissants bis hin zu frisch zubereiteten Omeletts war alles dabei. In den ersten Tagen waren wir leider etwas unzufrieden mit der Tatsache, dass die Tische nicht regelmäßig abgeräumt wurden und sich so das dreckige Geschirr bei uns stapelte. Nach einer Veränderung unseres Sitzplatzes zum Frühstück besserte sich dieser Umstand und hier war das Service-Personal sehr zuvorkommend und fleißig. Ein Dress-Code wäre auch beim Frühstück wünschenswert, damit Jogginghosen, ganze Jogginganzüge oder andere unangemessenen Kleidungsarten nicht den gehobenen Eindruck versauen. Zusammenfassend haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Das Hotel ist super. Die Isar-Bar ist perfekt organisiert und bot eine Atmosphäre zum Wohlfühlen. Der Wellness-Bereich hat uns sehr zugesagt! Einzig im Restaurant wurden wir leider vom Service sehr enttäuscht.

Very poor service.

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, but no 5 star service. We experienced several capacity problems at check-in, breakfast, wellness area (no large towels available in sauna area), infrequent turn-down service at night.

The Sofitel Munich is an impressive hotel in a historic building, offering a wonderful experience overall. The room was superb, combining comfort and elegance. The Isa Bar in the hotel is a true highlight—cozy, welcoming, and with a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. However, the restaurant was a disappointment. While the food was good, the ambiance was underwhelming—uninspired décor and a noisy environment that didn’t match the hotel’s five-star status. It’s also surprising that such a grand hotel has only one restaurant, and one that lacks the class and sophistication you’d expect. With some improvements to the dining area, or the creation of a second restaurant, this hotel could truly be perfect.

Walking distance to the Center and train station

Great hotel, great staff, within walking distance from basically everything important in Munich! It’s right next to the main train station, separated by hotel’s courtyard. The immediate area surrounding the hotel is not the greatest due to the proximity to the central station, however, it’s very safe and secure. Staff are excellent and in any imaginable way professional. House keeping was hit and miss and inconsistent depending on who’s shift it was… Some days we returned to a room with replenished toiletries and coffee/tea, fresh towels, chocolates on nightstands, water bottles, etc., and some days only beds were made and used towels were collected -nothing else done.
