Points positifs : personnel adorable, propreté au top, hotel tres bien placé proche du centre ville et accès direct à la plage avec restaurant, accueil hotel 24h/24. Points négatifs : chambre rustique méritant une rénovation ( sauf salle de bain deja renovée) et isolation. Sinon sejour au top.

Mycket nöjda med vistelsen! Fantastiskt läge av hotellet, vi fick ett rum med balkong rakt ut mot stranden- underbar utsikt! Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Athena som jobbar på frukosten otroligt gullig och hjälpsam. Överlag nöjda och kan med glädje rekommendera till andra.

This place was had one of the best beach views i ever seen, its easy for walking around and explore resturants. Its avery cozy enviroment. Food is great and so are the prices for food and drinks. The hotel did not have a kettel in the rooms or even tea or coffe in the rooms, Bathroom was good. Bed was ok but should have a little bigger madress. Staff working there wer very kind and service minded, we stayed here for 2 nights and its was good. We will come back in the future to explore more. Best Regards Ronny

During my recent stay at Hotel Danaos, I was charmed by its perfect beachfront location—just steps from Nea Chora Beach, and within a leisurely 15‑minute walk along the sea to Chania’s historic Venetian harbour and downtown . The stunning sea views from the balconies were the ideal backdrop to sip morning coffee or unwind at sunset. The hotel offers great value for money with clean, well‑equipped rooms (air conditioning, mini‑fridge, TV, Wi‑Fi) and daily housekeeping . In particular, guests praised the continental breakfast buffet—plentiful options like yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal and juices served in a bright seaside room . What truly stands out is the warm, family-run atmosphere—the staff were consistently described as friendly, helpful, and attentive, assisting with tips for exploring Chania, arranging bike or car rentals, and welcoming guests like old friends.

Hotel was right on beach. Near restaurants and bars. Decent size room for 3 people. Parking was a few blocks away. Staff at bar attached to hotel were very unfriendly. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and was given an attitude. They claimed it was very difficult to make and took them 25 minutes to make it! It was the worst daiquiri I’ve ever had. Also, when given a room with a “city view” I wasn’t expecting to see a neighborhood with a man in his boxers smoking. Make sure you request ocean view.
