The hotel looks nice from the outside. But everything is not clean and well equipped The staff was not nice and everything is so disorganized The food is terrible and there is no good restaurants I don’t recommend you to go there. Go to the next hotel Porto Gallini It is amazing and the Italian restaurant is excellent

Facilities are too dated now and need updating

We saw Ionian Blue on a drive to Vasiliki and it looked so beautiful I did usual research on booking platforms only to find that it rated very poorly, eg. 6.5. Not to be deterred that evening as I was very keen to stay at Ionian Blue we popped in just as 100’s of wedding guests filed in for the reception. We had a look around the beautiful foyer/bar/view and were blown away. We decided to book for two nights and loved every minute. Firstly, Ionian Blue is a grand old dame. She is majestic. Sure some fittings could be refreshed, yes the gym has defunct equipment but the sheer beauty of this resort and the enthusiasm of the staff to help with every whim makes Ionian Blue the best stay we have had the pleasure of experiencing in the last two months of road tripping through Europe. If none of this has convinced you then lastly a dip in this clean area of Ionian Sea from the sun lounge platform or the huge immaculately clean pool after having the most superb grilled prawns and club sandwich. The food is sensational as is the service.

Vi hade rum med egen pool vilket var bra. Men väggarna vid uteområdet borde tvättas av, det var ganska smutsigt. Rummen skulle behöva en uppdaterings. Vi hade en dusch som inte fungerade. Sista kvällen vi var där hade någon bokat hotellet för ett bröllop men vi som gäster fick ingen information.det var hög musik till långt ut på natten vilket gjorde det svårt för barnen att sova. Vi blev också skickat ut från baren eftersom mottagningen skulle vara där, så vi fick åka iväg någon annan stans för dryck och mat. Annars var de i receptionen väldigt vänliga och hjälpsamma. Fina badområden, både i havet och pool 🙂 frukosten och all annan mat var också väldigt bra.

Really enjoyed our stay, rooms were very good and comfortable, pool and beach area lovely. Food … breakfast and evening meal poor.

Beautiful property, but rooms are old. Should be renovated in rooms. Aircondition did not work in 2 of our rooms, so we had to move late at night

This was a fine hotel years ago. Today the tear and wear makes it feel bad. There was mold in the bathrooms of units 603 and 604. When asked to talk to the management, the reply at reception was that they are not available. Poor guest service overall.

The AC needs to be stronger inside the rooms

This could be a fantastic hotel. Is listed as 5 star, this hotel is definitely not 5 star. Personnel are very helpful and friendly. Food was good. Airco was very bad, almost nonexistent, room unbearably hot which meant that we slept badly. Rooms basic. No drinking glasses in room, or coffee facilities, which you’d expect for a 5 star rating. Showering in bathroom meant that floor was always flooded.

This place is over priced for what they offer. Spent over 200€ a night for a room with no air conditioning, broken toilet, broken television. Asked for the room to come get fixed while we went to the pool and beach. No one came to fix anything. We are asked back in the room smelled of feces. We asked to be moved into a new room. The new room was dirty, toilet was brown with stains, the door connecting to an other persons room was broken and had no lock. The couch outside was stained with god knows what, and the room again had no working AC. We slept in a room that was 29 degrees C (around 84 degrees F) we are in Greece during the summer. The hotel staff didn’t care or try to take care of it. So we left early and won’t refund me my money. I strongly recommend never going here. EXPEDIA is only giving me 75$ in fake cash for their site. I spent $570 for the two nights in hell.

Could do with refurbishing but worth the money. Great pool staff nice decking on beach could be cleaner but pros outweigh the cons. Good position great views. Would definitely go back there. Better then the stuck up attitude of Porto Galini down the road.

Was expecting better conditions for a 5 star hotel

This resort is amazing! Staff and customer service are excellent. Food an hospitality are five stars!

We stayed here 2 years ago. This was probably a great hotel 20 YEARS AGO. It has all the makings to be great again BUT someone has to put the money back into it. Elevators are old and dirty. The views once you get to your room are out of this world. Spend the money and make it nice again. This could be a 5 star hotel

Our room was downgraded because the original booked room was smelling sewage (really bad that my wife got an allergic reaction). The reception neglected to make any compensation for the downgraded room to two twin beds instead of the original booked king size bed. Few minors were like missing hot water (only warm water locked to specific safe temperature at the shower) and super loud music from a wedding event outside the rooms.

In one word DISGUSTING. We had to change rooms three times before we got one that was actually fit for human habitation. First room No. 303 had a mattress which had significant faeces and urine stains. Second room No. 220 stunk of raw sewage and had mould and termite damage in the bathroom. Third room No. 103 had air con that was set at 26 deg Celsius and way too hot. Overall the place is very dated with useless aircon, crappy lifts that don’t work most of the time and very arrogant and unhelpful management / reception staff. The other cleaning and service staff were excellent and they too could see and smell everything I have stated in this review. I would never go back and strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. In an attempt for them to mask / fix the sewage smell, they sprayed some unknown substance in the ducts which resulted in me being unwell for two days and confined to the room. When this was brought to the managers attention he was basically dismissive and would not provide details of the substance used. I even requested an incident report which is unheard of to them and still not received.

Beautiful location. But 1 star property at best NOT 5 STAR.... Dirty, allot of deferred maintenance. Dirty elevators when they worked. No air conditioning in common areas lobby restaurants. Limited food options some staff good. But most were not accommodating to help . Hvac in room was not cooling. Mold mildew in bathrooms, bath shower fixtures not working properly. Worn out floors, walls furniture and linens .....
