This location was nearly impossible to find. Once i did find it i was told that all the rooms had been filled with long term rentals. The owner told me he had another hotel in west end that he could put me in. He took me there (mr tucan hotel) he then told me it would me more than $100 more than Monkey lala and that was a bargain. Well i was the only guest and i think they should have given me the price i would have paid for my original reservation. I had a car and there was parking, but they had a gate and i was locked out on several occasions. After a certain time each day (around 5pm) there was no longer any staff in the hotel and every night i was the only person in the building.

Good property close to beach but need a taxi service

I was very disappointed and upset with my experience with Monkey Lala. I had reserved a particular apartment online once I get to Monkey Lala the son of the owner puts us in a different apartment that was not on the same standard or better than the one I had reserved online I had reserved 24 hours before. I was told its not available due to it was not clean. The son of the owner who I dealt with the whole time is very unprofessional, rude, and has a nonchalant attitude. I was very upset and had to leave and find another place to stay. One more thing the ocean view is a joke.

El apartamento es bastante cómodo, fresco y privado. La cocina podría estar un poco mejor equipada con implementos como cuchillos, vasos, un par de copas de vino. A los muebles de la sala les pondría fundas de algodón, porque la tela que tienen pica y es molesto con el calor. Fuera de eso, la atención y el alojamiento en sí fueron muy buenos.

I like to see trees from every window from the apartment. I fell secure because there is a guard 24/7 and two dogs. Even though the area is safe, people are friendly and helpful. David is great.
