Bon accueil au niveau de l'hôtel en contre bas , sanitaires et cuisine partagée très propre(attention pas de frigo). Le hatig bar en dessous est sympa mais manque de vie. Il y a une supérette et une piscine dans le village. Ce que nous déplorons c'est la qualité du logement, vieux draps, couvertures pas très propres. Et surtout un manque d'entretien ,pour une bâtisse en bois et au vue des conditions météo de la région, un entretien plus rigoureux doit être apporté. De l'eau s'est infiltrée par notre fenêtre , et l'intérieur était humide à plusieurs endroits. Ça ne vaut pas son prix , même si l'idée est originale.

Bon séjour, les « barels » sont confortables et bien isolés. A noter que la cuisine est partagée avec l’espace camping, mais pas les sanitaires. Une lumière automatique autour des sanitaires’ ainsi qu’une raclette pour évacuer l’eau dans les douches seraient les bienvenus, mais au delà de ça, séjour très agréable.

Great sleeping barrels with very clean shower and toilet facilities on a side. Additional water access on a side too. Lovely little town.

We like novelty stays and camping and this fit both in a country we never thought we would visit. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The communal facilities were spotlessly clean for a campsite and the accommodations were amazing. Thanks for the memory

Wonderful view to the small, beautiful village Djupivogur , to the harbour and to the mountains. Kind, clean and very peaceful camping above the village with friendly athmosphere. The bathroom and showers are privately and locate right outside our cabin.

Cute for camping, wasn’t what we expected but that’s on us.

Leider war die Ausstattung in der Küche mangelhaft. Küche gemeinsam mit Campingplatz verfügt über eine mobile Kochplatte mit 2 Platten, von denen eine defekt war!

We stayed in one of the barrels; it had 3 twin beds and was adorable and spacious. Although there wasn’t a comforter we stayed plenty warm between the radiator and our new wool blankets. Nearby ‘shipping container’ restrooms were clean, private, and well maintained.

This was the most Unique and awesome stay in our 7 night, 7 different stay all around Iceland on the Ring road. It's an excellent idea of comfort on a rustic campsite right in the small quaint town of Djupivogur. It has the option of making it luxurious like we did, with full cottage facilities of bedding and comforters or rough it up a little on the campsite. It has new, clean and private toilets and shower facilities. Truly an awesome experience. We give it a big Thumbs up and strongly recommend it.

Shower was flooding, it was possible to take a resting shower. Interesting camping barrel.

The barrel is a comfortable cabin but with a hazardous wooden ledge in the middle of the floor. The toilet/shower key arrangements are awkward and need to be improved - toilets themselves are very good but lacked soap. Kitchen is well equipped. Noise from others nearby can be a problem (thin walls) but generally was ok.

Loved the barrels!! Just perfect for me and what i needed.. Loved the new upgraded showers and water closets that come with them!!! Close and easy to access.

Bodde der en natt... tønna var i og for seg grei, men uisolert, frøys hele natten til tross for sovepose og varmeovn. Midt på sommeren. Sanitærbygget var møkkete og direkte ukoselig. Man må betale for dusj med Islandsk mynt. Vi som reiste er vant med camping og hadde moderate forventninger. Dette var for dårlig.

Very good , the environment is beautiful and the barrelmthe only thing is that it was a bit cold ;) but super experience !
