I stayed at Amika many times and I have always enjoyed my stay there. The staff are very friendly and helpful and Chef Muthu made our dining experience (both breakfast and dinner) enjoyable. The rooms are large and comfy. As the hotel is very close to Madurai airport, it’s very convenient.

The upside is that is near the airport. But, they rip you off to taxi for airport. 3 to 4 times the going rate. Just don’t use them for any pick up or drop off. Call your own taxi much cheaper. But, the rooms are clean.

The rooms are very good. But the restaurant service needs to improve. The service staff need to be trained to better serve professionally.

We flew in from Kolkata and stayed here for one night before our drive to Periyar. We stayed here on Christmas day. The hotel location is very close from the airport. The front desk people are very polite and helpful. The overall staff is very friendly. The hotel is in a very good condition and is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are good size, bed is comfortable and coffee machine are available for morning drink. We arrived late in the evening so ordered food from the kitchen (did not try the special Christmas dinner buffet). However we enjoyed their breakfast buffet. There were many food options ranging form continental to Indian/south Indian food. All food was freshly prepared and was hot and delicious. Our family had elderly parents and small kid. Everyone found something that they liked. There was a Dosa counter wherein you could ask for any kind to dosa or omelets made to order just for you. We really liked the ambience. If I were to mention one thing which bothered me during my stay, was the humidity that was there inside the room and in the hallways of this hotel. I am not sure what was the exact problem , but with the AC running we noticed lot of precipitation happening in the room which made the floors wet and it was the same for the hallway floors too. May be the cooling system needed some adjustment. We did mention about it on our check out. Hopefully they will look into it. We are very happy with our stay and will book this hotel again.

This is a very new, well maintained, excellent service hotel close to the airport. Because of its position, it is easy to access the airport for flights. However, in the descriptors it says ‘airport shuttle’ which is not true. They will call a taxi for you and it will cost the same as a taxi from town. The hotel is in the middle of no-where so you cannot get a taxi or rickshaw by standing on the street. So, if you want to stay in this hotel because of ease of access to the airport, be prepared to pay extra to get TO the airport. But the hotel itself is wonderful and the kitchen has good staff based on the breakfast spread and the room service we ordered.
