Reception area was nice but room and room service was very bad

Booked an executive room, the space wise it is okay, but no place to keep the suitcase, so I have to keep it on the floor. No tissues were available in the room. Breakfast option is very limited, nothing much to choose from.

Spotlessly clean with great service. Really nice breakfast and dining area, and unbeatable location for South Bombay. Highly recommend!

Astoria hotel was a haven of calm in the busy Area of Churchgate. We couldn’t fault the service, breakfast was great and the hotel provided a good base to explore South Mumbai.

The air conditioning was not working properly, I was sweating and the bathroom towels were very old (even though it was clean) to absorb the water and very rough on the skin.

Not good. Air conditioner not working properly, very old and malfunctioning. Need to keep the tap open for 15 to 20 minutes before the hot water starts flowing. Some issues with the water heater. Breakfast is just okay.

I enjoyed my five-week stay at Astoria Hotel, primarily because of hospitality, professionalism, and respectfulness of the staff. I also especially enjoyed the restaurant’s included breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet option. The location was ideal for me as I was conducting research at the Maharashtra Archives but also near other important Mumbai sites. I stayed in two different rooms; the second one featured beautiful gold blackout curtains, apparently new. My only recommendation would be to install more electrical outlets for those guests who need to do computer work while staying there. The lobby and eventually the dining room were being remodeled (they moved the dining room to another space temporarily), and I will look forward to enjoying those renovations should I return. There seemed to be a lot of construction in the neighborhood with a new Metro stop being built nearby and a building next door, and that coupled with the interior renovations (which did not inconvenience me at all) seemed to speak of a growing and thriving Mumbai. I recommend this hotel to any traveler who wants to stay in the heart of Mumbai at a reasonable rate for a big cosmopolitan city.

Good service & good food

The hotel is located at a very convenient and centrally located only 5 min walk to Churchgate station. Flora Fountain and Nariman Point sea front 15 to 20 minute walk. the staff at the hotel are helpful and polite. The breakfast served is mostly Indian but boiled eggs and omelletes of your choice is prepared and served by staff at your table.The staff at the reception, dinning area and the cleaners are pleasant and helpful. My stay at the hotel was very good and this is why I returned here again.

Veg food could have been better.

The staff was courteous and friendly. The room and bathroom were clean. One hallway had an unpleasant smell that seemed to linger the whole time we were there.

Felt at home in this property,well decorated.i would like to suggest that the cleaning staff not leave brooms near doors,when not cleaning.that looked a bit odd and detracted from the overall picture
