Staff is so kindly I only stayed one night but they helped me for my transfer from airport and then to go to the city It is not a a luxury hotel but the room and bathroom are clean If i had to come again in Kolkata airport I will book in this hotel

We (an old Anglo/American) couple landed at Babul because of a cancelled flight and all western style hotels being booked during wedding season. Babul was great value for its price. The room was clean and the bed firm. The staff was polite and attentive. The food procured by the staff was delucious. The hotel seems aimed at a predominantly Indian clientele. The bathroom facilities were more than adequate, but the shower was the double bucket style. We spent our stay working on flight cancellation fatigue, so did not go out and have no opinion as to the neighborhood. Overall, the hotel was a great refuge in our specialized circumstances.

Everything was fine. Staff was friendly. Till on the last day. I showed them on the 2 rooms I booked including a total of 4 breakfast. Ut they insisted I did not. I booked one more room for a additional day. And it also showed breakfast included. I did not get the breakfast I paid for. And they were no longer friendly. They told me I need to get 3 taxi for the 5 people with luggages. And after we waited for them to get taxi (we cancelled our Uber) and then they said they can't get any taxi. So we went to the street and got all in with2 taxi. I don't understand why asking for what we paid for is not right. It is a problem they have with their Expedia listing. But it is not a good experience on the last day.

It’s a 3-star near CCU airport in a densely crowded city like Kolkata, may be great by local standards but rating based on ratings standards. Stayed/slept for 4 hours - late arrival and early flight. Good value stay, didn’t feel unsafe.

This is a quick hop from the airport about 10 minutes. It is not on a main road but down a little alley type way, so it's nice and quiet. It is an older hotel but it is clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

It was hard to find (even Uber driver couldn't find or get to it) because it is down a narrow alley. However, the plus side was that it was quiet as it was set back from the busy main road. The room was OK, but no room for a large case to be opened. And the shower didn't work so a bucket bath was required. The worst thing was the failure to pick me up from the airport, despite all the prior arrangements being agreed. Their excuse was feeble as there are loads of local taxis around and it is barely a 5 minute drive from the airport. They could easily have sent one and then I wouldn't have had difficulty locating it. Similarly, they made a mess of getting me a car back to the airport in the morning! Very poor.
