Good service, reasonable price and nice breakfast..everything is perfect..

Behaviour of owner was good. But some facilities viz. breakfast as mentioned in the advertisement was not provided.

Friendly staff and clean area

I was worried about turning up at two in the morning after my train from Madurai was delayed, especially as the booking confirmation said check-in was until 10 pm. But luckily two Spanish women flying from Delhi arrived at the same time, so we only had to rouse the friendly manager-owner once. The place is the best I have stayed in the country since arriving more than four weeks ago: clean, cheap, friendly, breakfast included

Nice and peaceful place, comfortable and spacious room. Good location and staff very attentive. Good breakfast. The cleaning of the toilet should be more accurate. Anyway, recommendable.

Easy to find, walking distance to restaurants & bus stop. Really enjoyed my stay and great value indeed. What a lovely, warm, and hospitable family! Homemade breakfast in the morning was a great start. Room was decent size and very clean! Hot water shower was powerful. The host family was such nice people. Love the granny especially! Hate that the dogs were barking so loud into the wee hours at night... but maybe just those few days I was there. I think 2 day stay is sufficient as there’s not really much to do in Fort Kochi.

Perfectly located in the centre of Fort Kochi (but off the main road), all the sights are within a short walking distance. Mr Abu and his son were very helpful in suggesting where to go for the New Year's Eve celebrations, breakfast was filling and the water was always hot. I very much recommend staying here!

Nice and friendly!

Nice hotel, well maintained, very helpful owner. Not in the most central part of Fort Kochi but still very convenient.

Wir waren 2 Wochen im Honolulu Homstay und hätten uns gerne noch länger aufgehalten. Das Homestay ist eine einfache, saubere und nette Unterkunft im Herzen von Fort Kochin. Der Flughafentransfer klappte hervorragend. Herr Aboo, seine Frau und Team waren sehr herzlich, hilfsbereit und in allem außerordentlich entgegenkommend. Herr Aboo hat uns eine Backwater Tour vermittelt, die sehr schön war. Außerdem hat er uns Karten für ein indisches Musikkonzert und bei Bedarf ein Taxi besorgt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Wenn wir einmal wieder nach Kerala fliegen, werden wir bestimmt dort wieder unseren Standort wählen. Die Lage war super. Manchmal sind wir mit der Motorrickscha gefahren, das ist günstig und nett. Von dort aus haben wir einige Unternehmungen vorgenommen. Die öffentlichern Verkehrsmittel, Bus, Zug und Fähre sind sehr pünktlich und wurden viel von uns genutzt. Auch mit dem Taxi haben wir längere Strecken unternommen. Das Taxifahren ist sehr günstig. Wir hatten wien sehr netten Taxifahrer, der hieß Joseph. Die Menschen waren alle außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit.

All the staff are particularly nice, helpful and friendly. Mr Aboo Taris goes out of his way to suggest activities and help you plan them. Activities which go beyond the guide book. There were some particular places I wanted to visit, that others may not be interested in, and he made it possible. He arranged airport transportation/pickup which was helpful for me since I was travelling by myself. Also he knows and can recommend other good auto and car drivers. It is a place to feel relaxed and comfortable.

Shrumps (sorry, not sure about spelling) and Taris were great hosts, offering advice and organised a great tour of the Backwaters for us. They would go out of their way to be as helpful as possible and go the extra mile- highly recommend staying at Honolulu Home for excellent service. As with everywhere we've stayed in India, cleanliness is not top priority but sheets were clean and by India standards the room was certainly clean.

Un des hôtels les plus propres que nous ayons eu ces dernières semaines. Pas très loin du ferry fort kochi. Hôte très accueillant et de bons conseils.

Friendly host let me feeling at home.

The owner and his family were super friendly. We enjoyed trying both the Western and Indian style breakfasts. Aboo was most helpful and had some useful tips and options for getting around. Tours and theatre tickets could also be purchased from him which was quite convenient. We enjoyed meeting other travellers over breakfast. Our room was comfortable with a lovely balcony and the air conditioner and fan both worked efficiently. Cold showers in a hot climate is Ok but the Honolulu will be even better when the new solar powered hot water system is installed. For female travellers and families Kochi Fort had a safe friendly feel and security at the Honolulu was excellent.

We had a nice time here. The rooms are clean, though a bit spartan. The ac worked fine. The tv was a bit of a problem. We were charmed by the pleasant and helpful nature of the owner. He helped us a lot. The wifi was decent and the complimentary breakfast was good.

We stayed for 3 weeks the second time to Fort Kochi. It was a great base to come back to after local and interstate trips. This homestay is in a great position, centrally located among indian homes. We walked (10 min)to Princess St (major tourist centre) and the ferry pier. There is an auto stand at end of the street and the bus stops at each end if you don't want to walk. The front balcony mosquito proof room and ensuite was clean and had the basic comforts. Weekly housekeeping. The internet and hot water had ups and downs during our 3 wk stay.
