South Indian buffet was great. We enjoyed.

Pros: The hotel Athithi is located in market area. Very near to rock beach (walkable) and good restaurants. A good family hotel. Cons: Bath place is small. Water comes out of bath area. Glass linings seems to be worn out.

Very warm staff. Clean and convenient facilities. Food spread for breakfast were tasty, healthy and clean.

Neat and spacious rooms.Close to promenade beach.

Cool property and the room with a balcony

You could do a lot worse ! This hotel was perfectly adequate for our purpose. It lies just outside White Town. Crossing the road by foot from the white town side to the hotel side of the road like any Indian city is not for the faint of heart. Breakfast was standard fare for South India. If you have a driver then you can be dropped off near the promenade which is pedestrianised and is simply marvellous for this very reason.We didn't eat in as there were a lot of eateries around.Pondy is very humid in August so the room AC provided a welcome respite from this humidity .If I was staying in Pondy again, I would be happy to stay here again.

Well placed for market. Food is nice. Rooms very clean.

It is centrally located to all the attractions and importantly, its all walkable. Except for Auroville and Paradise beach which approximately takes 30 mins. If you are busy and want quick access to the city, its a convenient spot. Restaurant staff/Chef are extremely nice.

Excellent place to stay with family

Handily located in the delightful city of Puducherry, the Atithi is modern and comfortable. It is not a resort hotel but has great staff, spacious rooms and a great roof-top swimming pool. If I had any issues, the pool could do with some shady areas. Cleanliness in the big rooms and bathrooms was generally good though they didn’t seem to often wipe the windows! Quite a lot of smears. Breakfast was excellent.

Everything is going easy and good property to stay

Cet hôtel présente une atmosphère vieillissante et une décoration dépassée, ce qui donne une impression peu accueillante. La clientèle est majoritairement composée de familles et de personnes âgées, sans présence de jeunes. En revanche, l'emplacement est un point positif, car il est bien situé près du centre-ville. Le petit déjeuner était froid et manquait de choix, avec des produits en rupture non remplacés. La piscine est agréable, mais l'absence de toit sur les transats est problématique en cas de pluie. Enfin, la salle de sport est très peu équipée et l'entrée de l'hôtel présente une pente difficile d'accès.

Worth the money paid. Stayed for 8 nights & 9 days with family. Enjoyed a gd variety of buffet breakfast spread. Staff was very approachable. Laundry was fast & prompt. Very centralised location. Pool was clean.

Its just okay. Main plus point is its location

Overall nice place with all the basic stuff in good order. I found the check in process a bit cold and unwelcoming. One of the lights didn’t work but they were on it quick! They have a nice roof top restaurant with good food and cocktails. Their rooms and breakfast was pretty nice as well. Not too found of the busy location. Overall a good hotel and I would stay here again.

Rooms are big & spacious , breakfast was good, pool was excellent on rooftop, walkable distance to few attractions, overall a pleasant stay .

There was power cut in my room for 30 min and they spilled water in the floor and made me to sit in the dark for 20 min . There was no response when I complaint at the reception. The water was salty to take bath. It’s nice hotel but not 4 star grade

The staff were so friendly and helpful in accommodating our requests- from tours to questions about local culture. Kavitha even pointed out some local hot spots for us to check out! The hotel was a little bit of a walk from white town, but we managed it okay. Often ended up eating in the hotels dining room for dinner as we didn’t want to walk far after a day of exploring.

Check in was not great. We were in early and they said check in is at 2pm whereas the directory of services in the room says 12 noon. We agree it's difficult but the same can be done professionally. Location is good.

Near places of tourist interest - in the city centre, near the promenade and ashram.
