Pretty relaxing stay and the resort had lot of places to walk and explore.

Isolated protected island resort with staff well equipped to take care shuns the fear factor away. Thanks

One of the worst stays during my trip. The hotel staff is rude and ignorant of guests request. Their housekeeping team doesn't even bother to check if there are blood or dirt stains on bed before guest occupies the room. Restaurant food is tasteless, chefs do not know how to cook simple recipes like dosas, you can get it better at a street vendor. Also avoid buffet. During my two day stay, i had the following issues : You can't sit in balcony as local fisherman always pass by so its like living in a jail/bunker where you can't open windows or doors.Beach access limited as frequented by local fisherman. DO NOT STAY IN FLOATING COTTAGE (it's not like Maldives/Mauritius)but a pretty bad experience - Blood stain on bed sheets as i was staying in honeymoon floating cottage (supposedly their premium stay). Got cleaned after 40 minutes once i reported, check photos. - Bed side lamps and charging ports not working, got fixed after i had to call atleast 3 times and their reception staff brushed me aside that all they can do is pass on information and i have to wait. - Stinky room & dirt towels even requesting before hand that room should be cleaned. Had to request room freshners two times during 12 hour stay. check photos. - Television, AC & WIFI not working and got fixed only after i requested Service Manager (but there was no Service Manager on duty @ 10:00pm. - Blood and Dirt stains on toilet seats.

Green surrounding, pleasant well mannared staff, nice food.

To many dishes in the menu were not available and did not serve all at the table together, the food was good though. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Leela billed me twice I had a cancellation confirmation no 8101680721804 from you on zero charges as i booked for the same dates with you for better rate . they confirmed they will refund i am still awaiting for their refund. had a very bad experience with a 5 star hotel

Check out is miserable. Tried to charge for laundries for some body else. Did not allow me to leave without paying money for somebody else laundries. Not going to visit this place again.Room A/C is miserable. We took the land cottages for two days.

we stayed one night at Povar Island Resort was a good experience, well maintained, staff very friendly and helpful.

The resort has a lot to improve.There were issues with bed bugs which was resolved quickly but that shouldn't have happened in the first place. The chairs in my balcony were of inferior quality( stayed in 201) and the phone was not working. My cousin stayed in room 202 the minibar was not stocked and there was an old bed kept in the balcony which was requested to be moved out but was not done. The staffs are very helpful and the restaurant gives clean food and the taste is also OK so no issues there. There is no WiFi in the rooms for accessing the WiFi you have to go to the lobby.

Poovar Island Resort is one of the pleasing place to relax and enjoy. when we cross the backwater the beach is like isthmus. really enjoyed a lot.

A fancy resort with a few problems. Best feature is the pool - it's beautiful, fringed by palm trees, and very clean. The food was not as good as I had hoped; I had just been staying in Trivandrum where the food was better. Worst things about this hotel: the staff is constantly trying to get you to order "extras" like food and drinks which shouldn't be extras in the first place. For the exorbitant rates this resort charges, meals and at least water should be included. Also bad: they were doing loud, buzz-saw construction in the cottage right next to mine, well into the night.

Welcome by hotel staff on arrival hasvery much indian touch. stay was pleasant. check out was hassle free.over all Good experience

We stayed in a floating cottage which was an outstanding experience. Location & property is perfect. Seafood was excellent. Service quality is poor. Except for one who made our stay good, rest of all staff looked not trained. Very good outdoor activities like boat rides, beach stay & other garden specific activities.

We have enjoyed the stay. The service was absolutly satisfactory.

i stayed in the floating cottage for a day. The room was ok but there is no hot water. Room service will take 1hr to deliver food or water. The surrounding is not worth the money. The only good is we can feed fish from our room. Udhaya samudrha hotel is very good. We can enjoy the beach and the hotel rooms.
