Spacious rooms, good views, friendly staffs

The location is ideal for all activities out of and around Bukit Lawang. The staff are great and make all things easy.

This place is great. It’s in the jungle, so with that, you have to cut some slack. It’s not even on a road, but staff will greet you at the end of the road and carry your luggage to the room for you (and from)! They also helped arrange our ride from Kualanamu (airport in Medan), our jungle trek guide, and our ride to Berestagi. The room has space, and we were able to get wifi and charge our devices. Jungle so a bit more like glamping.

Amazing and extremely helpful staff, amazing views etc. So happy I chose this place.

Desi tog imod os på hotellet med stor gæstfrihed, og efterfølgende var kommunikationen med hende i top. Pga en problematik med manglende varmt vand på værelset, blev vi opgraderet til Penthouse lejligheden. Wow!!! Det var en fantastisk mulighed - sikke en udsigt! De 135 trin derop er hele turen værd, så tøv ikke med at booke penthouse, hvis den er ledig.

After a lovely friendly wellcome, i was shown my room - a palace in the tree tops, absolutely divine, so clean, spacious with lots of light coming in. A bed fit for a princess, a super comfy kingsize 4 poster wooden bed with full mosquito net. The bathroom is the best ive ever used. I have enjoyed my stay here , will definitely come back next year. I love being so high up, and with over 100 stairs to climb up to this beautiful palace, i will have very strong legs when i go hone to England!

Bedroom clean. No soap or shampoo in bathroom. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Food excellent quality.

Calm and peaceful place at the enterance of the national park. Good staff kinldy arrange pickup service from airport and trekking tour. Enjoy your great experience!

This was an amazing place to stay. The owner and the employees were abundantly friendly and helpful, food was great, the atmosphere was unlike anything else.

The staff at the Orangutan Hotel rocks!! Their Orangutan Treking guides certainly live up to their reputation, and I managed to see several Orangutans on my one and only trek into the rainforest..I was later told that many people spend days in the jungle without seeing anything, so I feel very lucky. The hotel has some great views and is located in an excellent spot in relationship to local shops and restaurants.

had an excellent guide - Mona who not only found us orangutans but was incredibly kind when my son got vertigo - taking us to the local doctor for assistance. The room (we stayed in the penthouse) was incredibly clean and the view amazing. Monkeys jumped on our roof and ate fruits from the tree right outside our window. An amazing experience.

This is a small boutique hotel, where you are treated as a family when you arrive. Downside is that there was no restaurant at the hotel, and no bar, so it didn't really create a place to 'hang out'. there were good food options around, but it would have been great if the hotel itself atleast offered drinks/snacks.. Apart from that, the staff was very helpful and took care of all transports, guided trips etc.

Ich hatte das Zimmer ganz oben. Anzumerken ist hier, dass es sehr anstrengend ist die vielen Treppen zu steigen. Das Zimmer ist viel zu hoch. Im Zimmer selbst war nichts vorbereitet, keine Handtücher, kein Toilettenpapier, etc. Ich hatte 2 Nächte gebucht, es wurde nichts sauber gemacht. Der Service ist unterirdisch bis gar nicht vorhanden.
