Nice hotel great location let down by dirty beach (but unfortunately dirty beaches are normal in this part of the world)not the hotels responsibility but definitely effects there customers.

This place is in an ideallic location in Balian… right on the beach where the surf breaks so can watch the surfers or step straight on to the beach. THE POOL:However the pool which is right in the front row for viewing the sea, is not very clean. Although it has a filter and chemicals, the water is clouded so cannot usually see the tiles on the bottom and there is no sweep in the pool so dirt has gathered at any corners.. not appealing to swim in. The furniture is tattered and the pool is not exclusively for guests so anyone can come and sit and swim there. The bathroom: The loo sits at an angle below the air conditioning pipes which drip constantly on to the loo area so there is no way to use the loo without being dripped on. The shower soap dispenser fell and smashed as soon as touched and the shower drain blocked so I was left standing in a soapy pool. The rest was kept clean but there is not enough light in the room and no coat hangers although there was a bamboo rail. The kettle in our room did not work so they did bring another but left the other there. We wanted scooters but inspite of them saying they were making exhaustive efforts to locate some, nothing came of it. We asked at neihbouring accom. Who wete very helpful znd directed us to Where we could get scooters which were then delivered immediately. Not one to complain but this place is not cheap by comparison to others and although restaurant and other staff were lovely, the management leaves a lot to be desired.

Great stay for surfing.

The location is ideal for surfing and it was the best mattress I had in my three weeks in Bali. Food was good. The property is mostly clean, and quite pretty, though the shower has chicken wire covering the window—and mosquitoes got in. Walls are paper thin and my neighbors smoked and the smoke came into my room on a regular basis.

Amazing location right on the beach and convenient. I would have liked a better lock on my door, as the compound is exposed to the broader community since it's adjacent to a surf beach.

For surfer It is good and comfortable. We can wake up by wave sound and sun and bird harmony. Easy wave check and entry. Great location

Overall, this place is great-the ONLY downside is that it is far from everything. It’s at least 2 hours from both the airport and Ubud and everything else. If you want to come to Bali and have the beach all to yourself to surf or relax, then this is a good hotel for that. Just remember that it will take you forever to get anywhere, so coordinate transportation well ahead of time. Also, the grounds are absolutely beautiful. The room was really amazing as well, very rustic. And the staff are great.

This hotel is right on the beach. You can sit by the pool or in the restaurant area watching the surf right in front of you. All staff are friendly and helpful. I live in Jakarta and went for a weekend surf trip. This hotel and area in Bali was all I needed. That's the point. It is a quiet, relaxing location.

Location was perfect; food was very good; room needed refurbishment!

Einfaches Resort an toller Strandlage. Eigentlich charmant einfache Zimmer ohne grossen Komfort. Badezimmer ist nicht wirklich zumutbar. Aber sehr charmant und sehr gute Lage. Restaurant ist auch zu empfehlen und das Personal extrem Hilfsbereit. Ideal für Surfer und Yoga Freaks

Very enjoyable stay. The hotel is right on the beach, directly in front of the break. You can check the wave in the morning from your room! The grounds are green, full of water features and peaceful. A quiet, soul recharging hideaway in the low key Balian. With pool, restaurant, and tables and chairs overlooking the beach, Pondok is a great place.

Staff were lovely, hotel is in a nice location, but I was surprised by how basic the rooms were given we had paid quite a lot per night. I think the quality of the rooms really varies so you want to check that out before booking.

Great place to relax. Staff are super friendly, beach is chill and pool is perfect in the heat. Our room was in the river suite. Simple and clean and perfect for a couple looking to go offline. Best part was yoga with Nicky in the beautiful yoga shala! Thanks for a great stay!
