Everything was perfect! Both room 1 & 3 were super clean, warm home, lovely powerful shower, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Trish & Chris were lovely hosts, you can tell they take pride in their welcoming home, delicious cooked breakfast, would love to visit again!

Amazing tucked away spot. Host Fergal was an incredible resource for information on hiking and general exploring around the Ring of Kerry. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast cooked to order. Nice bonus to have a TV / sitting room available for all to use.

My wife and I stayed for 7 days. 10/10- would recommend to a friend- will be back! Our hosts, Trish & Chris, were absolutely stellar. They are both kind, friendly, knowledgeable, salt of the Earth people, and excellent cooks! The breakfasts were customized to our needs and desires and were scrumptious! The setting is divine- so quiet, surrounded by nature, and truly beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. There was, however, no in-room mini fridge! Having travelled extensively across 5 continents, this was the first time I had experienced this omission in a hotel or B&B. We bought a cooler in town, and ice to keep our drinks cold. The beds are quite new. They are very firm, which is ideal for back-and-tummy sleepers. If you are a side sleeper, you may want to order a memory foam mattress topper Amazon delivery in advance, or be creative with pillows to ensure proper spinal alignment. Or just plan for an extra 10 minutes in your morning routine to do some yoga and stretching. Also, be aware that not all rooms have a bath tub, so if you are the type of person who likes a nice soak in a warm tub after a long day of flying/driving, be sure to request a room with a bathtub in advance. Our shower was lovely though and the water pressure is good and strong. In Ireland and the UK, it is unusual for lodgings to supply facecloths (aka flannels). Pack your own, or you can pick one up at a shop in town. Sneem has many shops and several dining options. Kerry is stunning! Do go!

Vi hade en väldigt bra vistelse! Vårt rum var perfekt, rent, snyggt och väldigt trevlig frukost. Värdparet fick oss att känna oss mycket välkomna. De gav oss fina tips på restauranger och ställen att uppleva.

Bed was very uncomfortable

Wonderful stay! Trish and Chris couldn’t have been nicer, and the house is quite lovely. I couldn’t believe that it wasn’t built this year, as everything looks and feels like new. I chose to walk into town for dinner; it was a lovely and quiet stroll of less than 15 minutes each way. And staying in Sneem gave me an early start on the Ring, so I could get a jump on much of the traffic coming from Killarney (which I had done the afternoon before). I was lucky to have found these accommodations!

Very Friendly Hosts, Rooms very comfortable and clean

Wir wurden super freundlich von den Gastgebern empfangen! Außerdem haben wir beim Frühstück sehr hilfreiche Tipps bekommen und hätten sicher auch noch weitere Informationen bekommen, wenn wir es gewollt hätten. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abgelegen, so dass man schon ein Auto braucht oder einen Fußmarsch von ca. 20-30 Minuten bis in Dorf in Kauf nehmen muss. Im Dorf gibt es ein paar Möglichkeiten zum Einkaufen, Restaurants und Pubs. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, hell, sauber und schön eingerichtet! Das Frühstück war super!!! Es gab verschiedene Optionen zur Auswahl und auch ein kleines Buffet mit Brot, Müsli, Joghurt usw. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es direkt am Haus!

Beautiful clean house with all facilities and great hosts

Nous avons passés un superbe séjour chez Chris et sa conjointe qui nous ont accueilli chaleureusement et partagé un peu de la culture irlandaise ! Au plaisir autour d’un toddy :)

Alqind Lodge was beautiful,the house was homely, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The lodge is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by fabulous views while also being 5 minutes from the village and local amenities. We would highly recomend Alaind Lodge and we will definately be back. Pat &Derry

Nice accommodation and really nice host!

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Alaind Lodges, due to its lovely location, accommodations and especially Fergal our gracious host. Looking forward to returning someday, and hopefully booking a hike with Fergal!
