Breakfast was 8:30 and I was leaving early to catch ferry!! Room very cold but radiator had been switched off, once turned on the room heated up nicely. Fish and chips were delicious.

I just loved this hotel the friendliness of the welcome from staff, the food both dinner and breakfast and the location. I only stayed one night along the WAW trip but would stay again for sure and will recommend to friends.

Evening meal was first class,but unfortunately the road noise was very loud,

Quite basic but comfortable hotel. My room was quite close to the road which wasn't ideal for a light sleeper. Didn't have the breakfast as I had to rush off. Generally good value.

No hot water , wifi not working , very noisy ! Not a restful stay ! Food was mediocre ! STAFF ARE GREAT but the general standard of the hotel is 2 star !

Interior needs updating

Well run property in need a bit of a spruce up, but a nice welcome and social staff.

Friendly helpful staff and great breakfasts

Veel parkeerruimte, ook voor ons kamerraam waardoor er een bus op 5 cm stond en het raam niet open kon, dat kan onhandig zijn. Het personeel is heel aardig en het eten in de bar is prima. Het is er stil en de douches zijn geweldig. De kamer was mooi ruim. Er was veel info over de omgeving met uitleg hoe er te komen. Heel fijn!

The greatest assets of this place are its staff and its location in the sensational Ireland North West coast. The room was comfortable and fit for purpose

This hotel was absolutely beautiful and full of charm. The landscaping leading up to the property was stunning and set the tone for a lovely stay. Dinner at the hotel was delicious, and the rooms were very comfortable. We also had a great time across the street at the bar, playing pool and enjoying the friendly local atmosphere. A wonderful experience from start to finish—highly recommend!

Great hospitality - she put me in a nice quiet room away from the street and upgraded my bed.

Quiet and a great base for sightseeing

Lovely warm welcome. Great base to see the sights of Donegal. Close to amazing beaches. View onto the estuary a real bonus.

Ostan Loch Altan was an excellent place to rest on a looping, self-organized road trip through the hinterlands of County Donegal. The roadside inn is comfort, with spacious rooms (though the bed was on the soft side, so you felt a little like you were sinking toward the middle). Luckily, the hotel has its own pub, which serves dinner — Friday night was steak special night — and breakfast room, as the other pub across the street wasn’t serving food midweek in early November. What stood out most, though, was the simple friendliness of the Ostan Loch Altan’s staff, who were uniformly kind and cheerful.
