The spa was relaxing and the upgrade to a suite was a much appreciated surprise especially as it was my birthday too.

Beautiful resort

For the star rating of the hotel and the quality of the rooms the shower in the room was of a poor standard. The staff in the bar both in the evening and in the restaurant for breakfast were very disorganised. The bar was very untidy with a lot of empty glasses and plates around the tables, even though it did not seem busy.

Impressive hotel. Check-in was easy and staff at reception very helpful. Bar food was excellent for lunch, very tasty. Evening meal in Blake’s Restaurant was nice but nothing special. Had an after dinner Calypso Coffee and it was served in an ordinary coffee mug which was odd. Lovely walking amenities around the grounds. Rooms really nice with lovely views and very clean.

The room was beautiful and a great size. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant though mine (beef brisket) was dry and overcooked. Allergies were really well accommodated though which was appreciated! The thermal suites, pool and gym are all well-equipped and very clean. I booked a 30 minute massage, the therapist was lovely and I enjoyed it but it was only 20 minutes of massage time because she was late bringing me from the waiting room and for the first few minutes there's a "consult" where they talk you through the form you fill out beforehand. This shouldn't be part of the treatment time. Breakfast was great, generous full Irish though I think that only one egg is a bit mean! Also instead of the usual fruits and yoghurt where you can help yourself there were very small plastic cups filled with fruit, overnight oats etc. It was annoying to not be able to pick the fruit and yoghurt I'd prefer, and most of the cups weren't gluten free as they contained granola and oats. Having plain yoghurt, fruit and granola so that people can help themselves would be better, and the little plastic cups must be terrible for the environment as they didn't seem to be reusable! Overall a lovely stay but would be great if the small things above could be improved! :)

Didn’t experience the spa but will the next visit

Check in was excellent. There was a big queue as we were all attending a wedding but it was handled quickly and efficiently.

Unfortunately the spa was closed for the 2 days we were there and didn’t know :(

The art was fabulous. The hotel is beautiful and elegant. The staff was very pleasant but seemed under-trained. Additionally, considering how upscale the facility was there were weird little things that were to the same level. For example, the sheets were coarse, some rooms had wash cloths and some didn’t (we had 3 rooms)..things like that. All in all, though, we had a great time.

Room too warm no Air con. Bar food was of a poor standard. Waiting staff excellent

Excellent hotel for a quiet getaway

Beautiful well kept hotel. We stayed in one of their suites overlooking the golf course. Partial view blockage from some high shrubs. Suite was very spacious and clean. Everything worked. Service all round was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the lack of a refrigerator and microwave in the room. There was a “cooler” which puzzled us as to what its purpose was, because it certainly neither cooled anything down or kept anything cool. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend it. We also played golf at the adjoining golf club. Again a wonderful experience, really well maintained course. My wife and I planned just one game, but couldn’t resist a second round the following morning. The course had a full range of challenges for every golfer. We rented clubs and the sets they gave us were spanking new and really high quality.

Lovely staff and very efficient check in. Very spacious room. Rooms are dated - esp the bathroom inc sink cracked, free standing bath not secured to floor so when getting in it moved etc.

The only issue was the room was too hot. Air Con system in effective or faulty. Otherwise excellent all round.

When you staying in Spa hotel, first of all you thinking about relaxing massage you gonna get upon arrival. We were lucky to get in very fast, we both were unlucky with the service we got. Everybody is super polite and nice, but you you position yourself as Spa hotel with massage services-train your staff to do proper massage, both of us got something far away what calls massage. It’s one of one 10. First disappointment. Room was very his and specious, dated, but that’s fine. Water pressure could be better, maybe because shower was leaking? Front desk ladies very polite and helpful. Restaurant ladies all very helpful, for breakfast and dinner. Nice walking path. Would I go back, if I ever in that area? Probably, no.
