Wir wurden von unserem Host sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit empfangen. Das Haus und die Zimmer waren sauber, Parkplätze gibt es direkt vor dem Haus. Leider stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für uns nicht. Wir haben oft gefroren und mussten den Host mehrmals darum bitten, die Heizung einzuschalten. Im Badezimmer war ein „Water Saver“ am Wasserhahn installiert, wodurch wir jeweils rund drei Minuten warten mussten, bis endlich Warmwasser kam. Zudem hatten wir ein Zimmer mit „Meerblick und Blick auf den Golfplatz“ gebucht – tatsächlich liegt der Golfplatz oder das Meer jedoch mehrere Kilometer entfernt, was enttäuschend war. Auch die Fernsehsender beschränkten sich ausschließlich auf lokale irische Programme. Auch wenn der Gastgeber sehr bemüht ist, können wir keine Höchstbewertung vergeben. Im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften unserer Reise war es deutlich teurer, ohne dass der Komfort oder die Ausstattung entsprechend überzeugt hätten.

David hat uns empfangen und sogleich mit Tipps für das Abendessen und die Weiterreise versorgt. Frühstück genial! würde jederzeit wieder hier übernachten!

Due to a family bereavement they were unable to offer breakfast, but we had not booked breakfast anyway. Although we were there in late August the town was incredibly quiet. Most food and drink places were closed for the duration of our 3 night stay, for breakfast or dinner. But McMunns were open on our last night and we got a good dinner there.

The proprietor was so nice and helpful. He gave great advice on local activities nearby. We loved our stay and wished would could have stayed longer. The breakfast was wonderful, the atrium was beautiful.

Room was very spacious for a family of four. Beds were comfortable and room was clean - detailed clean. We chose the breakfast which was delicious and prepared hot with many options and a reasonable price. Excellent stay overall and would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone.

We stayed for 3 nights and were very well looked after. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. David and Doreen did everything they could to make us feel welcome. A most enjoyable stay and we would recommend very highly.

The Tides B & B is a wonderful place to stay in Ballybunion. It is clean and quiet and the mattress, pillows, and blanket were perfect. The bathroom had a bathtub and a separate shower, all updated. The continental breakfast the next morning was absolutely amazing with many choices of breads, cereals, juices, coffee, etc. My husband elected to pay a bit more and got a serving of crepes which were delicious! I would recommend The Tides without hesitation.

How do I even begin to say how amazing the experience was to stay at The Tides. Our original plans for another B&B were cancelled by mistake and we were stuck without a place to stay shortly before dinner. When we did some research we discovered The Tides. AND WOW WHAT A COMPLETE JOY! It’s better than we could have imagined. From the moment we walked into meet it hosts and saw their beautiful home, to great advice to where we could fine, to the amazing accommodations and the breakfast of Irish perfection—wow! (we felt like it was the way traveling used to be…no hotel or hurried attitudes—-only being with real people who wanted to take care of us). It was by accident we found The Tides, but it will be on purpose that we want to return and tell everyone how worth Ballybunion is because The Tides made us feel welcomed and rested and fed with the best Ireland could offer! Thank you Doreen & David and to Expedia for offering The Tides!

Very nice place, very clean. Good area. When i booked it said provided breakfast. Which they did but conveniently didnt serve until 8:30. I think this was done on purpose so they dont have to feed guest. We left at 7. No fruit nothing was out.

Warm and helpful staff and beautiful spacious and clean rooms. Close to the town which has amazing beach and coast

The owners went out of their way to order and pickup a birthday cake for my husband and have it waiting in our room when we arrived. They are extremely pleasant and accommodating!We loved our room as well!
