Beautiful location but i feel our check in was the most unwelcoming, unfriendly experience I ever had. We arrived to a self checkin in the middle of a power outage & no running water and received no communication or help from the management When I called the “emergency “phone number there was a curt voicemail saying “to leave a message”The code numbers in the lock boxes were very difficult to read even in daylight. The cost per night was very expensive considering there was no breakfast available even though there were bar and restaurant facilities in the their online advertising. Thankfully, a hotel in the locality kindly provided us with food and shower facilities.

Room was quite basic but comfortable ...BUT...did not have any chair/s to sit on; did not have any refrigerator; the restaurant supposedly operating, was closed all the time; there were no staff on premises and Wotif did not respond to messages. A Zombie establishment in a pretty location.

The remote check in process was easy. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and mildew. The carpet was stained but clean, the bed was worn down. This property could use an update. The restaurant is not managed by the same company and wasn’t open when we were there.

I did not receive my check-in information until a few hours before check-in time and after emailing the hotel. This was quite disconcerting. The fact that it is a self check-in process was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable. The pillows were too soft for my liking. The only toiletries in the bathroom were 6 or 8 small bottles of shampoo and a bottle of hand wash. Some shower gel would have been nice. Overall a good stay. It was lovely lying listening to the water when we opened the windows.

The location was beautiful, and the restaurant associated with the lodging was excellent. We had some problems with the toilet, but the owner called a repair person right away. In the morning, the Internet was down. It happens.

This property was very basic. We didn’t realise it was only air b no breakfast. Until Saturday morning. We wouldn’t have booked it if we had known. Code for doors, code for key.

2nd stay here. No staff at all, works through messaging. Both times, it's been clean and we've slept very well. Very quiet hotel. Lovely view of the water. Comfy bed. Kids enjoy it.

Excellent stay in Waters Edge. Very clean room with easy check in and very near Rathmullan beach. Would highly recommend this hotel to any visitor.

Overpriced for the fact the accommodation doesn't include breakfast facilities on site and not even a fridge provided in the room. They recommend a lovely place in town for breakfast which is great...if your stay coincides with it being open. Really over priced,for what you get. Views are top notch but with no Aircon we ended up needing to keep the curtains closed most of the time to try reduce the heat of the room. A radiator was on blazing out heat in the hall way.....really was not needed!

Lovely hotel! Easy check in and out. Comfortable and clean!

Splendid location on the edge of Lough Swilly with view from room across the waters. Room was warm clean and comfortable with adequate space for a two night stay. Rathmullan within walking distance. On site restaurant was good as was breakfast at Belle’s in Rathmullan. Perfect for visit to Fanad lighthouse. More like a room in an Airbnb with no on site hotel reception or public space other than the bar/ restaurant. But check in system worked ok.

Pint of Guinness cost me 6.40euro eventhough price in book stated it was 5.90euro Shower in room had hardly any pressure

Great location right on the water, but the beds themselve were very uncomfortable and the carpets need a good clean. No lid on the toilet either. Would suggest blinds not just curtains. Aswell as an iron in the room, but thats just my personal preference. Easy check in and easy to find rooms. Plenty of parking with bar and restaurant on site. Lovely picturesque location in ireland.

The remote staffing is a new wrinkle to me, but it worked fine. Rathmullen was a bit slow on Monday night, but that’s to be expected. Hotel was comfortable.

This is a beautiful hotel and setting, very clean and comfortable, there is a restaurant & bar attached to it but only opens from 5pm, there is no breakfast facilities however there is tea & coffee in the room. Nearby cafe that do excellent breakfast and food. The only downside is that we had an issue with no hot water or heating on the last evening & day so a very cold shower on the day of checking out. It was reported and I believe the maintenance man arrived as we were just leaving. All in all a very pleasant stay

Pretty

Drove a 5 hours to be there but it was worth it! The food, the rooms , the decor, the service! Absolutely amazing! I will go back😍. The WiFi is a bit slow but nothing hectic!
