This is my response to the manager's response to my review published in February 2025. The response stated that I payed 25 euros per night to stay at the hotel which was cheaper than staying at a hostel and, thus, shouldn't complain about the room. I'd like to correct this statement. I paid $133 per two nights and given the amenities felt that the room was overpriced. If it indeed were 25 euros per night, I wouldn't have dared to complain. Thank you.

Au 5ème étage d'un immeuble bourgeois (avec ascenseur, il faonctionnait), l'auberge Astro est située au début de la rue du XX septembre, artère commerçante. L'accueil est vraiment très agréable, il n'y a pas de petit déjeuner mais une "piccola colazione" offerte. Chambre petite mais moderne et propre. Seul bémol, il est écrit qu'il y a un parking, mais c'est le parking public de la piazza della Vitoria à deux pas. 2,4 € de l'heure plafonnés à 18 € par 24h.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Pros: conveniently located, reasonably priced parking, quiet, friendly staff. Cons: the hotel was under renovation when we were there, so it was pretty messy. The room we stayed in wasn't renovated yet and looked more like a dorm room than a hotel room. The furniture, bedding and towels were old and looked unappealing. There was black mold in the shower stall.

I chose Alberto Astro for the location near one of the Genoa train stations. The area was surprisingly fancy. But don’t be fooled. The facade and spiral staircase are far more elegant than the albergo. The room was large, albeit sadly decorated. The breakfast was bare bones, although they make a great cappuccino! Most of the staff were friendly, except the night guard who was surly. Maybe that’s just his old-world, curmudgeonly style.

Good location on a bustling street, with a lot of stores nearby, including groceries. Easy check-in. Only downside is a little smell of smoke. It seemed some previous guests didn't abide by the smoke-free rule.

Excelente hotel, muy bien ubicado, las habitaciones estaban limpias y el personal muy amable. Está ubicado en un lugar estratégico donde puedes acceder a cualquier punto de la ciudad y además Te ofrecen un delicioso café todas las mañanas. Sin duda volvería

Настаняването беше в стара сграда на 5 етаж в централната част на града. За кратко пребиваване е добре. Домакинът е усмихнат и приятен , но е добре да има дребни евра когато таксува клиентите за хотелската такса .

The personal was very friendly and helpful.

The staffs are friendly but not informative. The location is excellent, very closed to the railway staion, 5 min to walk maybe. It’s not difficult to find the hotel because there is big sign by arrow. The hotel is at the Main Street, it’s walkable to the piazza Ferrari, to the cathedral and to the port/aquarium. Shopping every where. The bed is comfortable, the wifi up & down, the air conditioning works perfectly, the building and the rooms were old. The room was clean. The breakfast was just simple in packed foods. I didn’t take the breakfast even it’s included.

Nice enough place, but the mosquitos will keep you awake all night. If you shower at peak morning times, expect a dribble of water most of the time. Positives are that is close to both the train station and a McDonald’s

Es gab keine Klimaanlage und war die ganze Nacht unerträglich heiß. Beim öffnen des Fensters hörte man die sehr laute Straße die ganze Nacht. So macht Urlaub keinen Spaß. Und für 90 Euro die Nacht darf man wohl eine Klimaanlage erwarten...

In pieno centro, location perfetta per raggiungere qualsiasi mezzo di trasporto o punto della città. Antonio e Claudio sempre gentili e alla mano, cercano sempre di soddisfare le vostre richieste. Consigliato anche per il rapporto qualità prezzo.

La estancia fue bastante fea en general , edificio muy antiguo, pero no en el buen sentido Absolutamente todo el hostal huele a tabaco, un olor insoportable que estaba impregnado en la habitación hasta en las almohadas Parece el hotel de una película de terror, ningún mantenimiento, ninguna renovación, todo es feo y antiguo, incluso las sábanas. Las toallas eran oscuras lo cual me hacis dudar de su limpieza , el servicio deja que desear, siempre la misma persona que parecía ni siquiera dormir, el wifi no llegaba a la habitación Lamparas rotas de forma peligrosa, bordillos de la cama sobresaliendo, los muebles y colchas seran los mismos que hace 100 años De ninguna forma merece la valoración que tiene y el precio es exorbitante para lo que es realmente Lo único que rescato es la ubicación y que la habitación tenía un balcón, que permitía respirar un poco de aire puro No volvería ni lo recomendaría de ninguna manera, por su bien elijan otro sitio

Comodo e confortevole Hotel, pulito e dotato di tutti i servizi necessari, personale gentile e disponibile. Soddisfatto lo consiglio

Hotel staff were friendly and kind. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Location is good. When I come back to Genoa, I'll stay here again.
