친절하고깔끔함 타쏘광장에서 꽤걸어야한다는게흠이지만 조용하고 바다뷰가좋음 옥상수영장과 테라스가괜찮음 침대에서개미가너무많이나와서 로비에말했더니 즉시와서 시트갈아주고 미안하다고함. 객실도깔끔하고.서비스와친절은 최고이나 개미는어쩔수없는거같음

Perfect Stay In Every Way!

The hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. It is a very traditional Italian style hotel, with beautifully tiled floors and marketry furniture (that is everywhere in Sorrento). Its location is a short 10 min stroll to the centre of town, and only 5 mins from the train station. Our room was beautiful and overlooked the bay and Mt Vesuvius (room 507). The bed was super comfortable, the aircon an absolute pleasure and the blackout blinds did their job too well! We would happily recommend the Grand Hotel De La Ville.

Such a phenomenal stay, going to a place like this makes me question why there's tipping in the US when coming here made us feel like royalty. The staff is ready to provide and are super friendly. No one made you feel odd for requests that aren't their cultural norm--like how you order your coffee. The breakfast was so fast, service provided even though it's technically self serve, and many options are available. It was awesome to save money for this meal and to have it at our stay. The hotel is beautiful; the only thing I wish was different is if the pool was temp controlled? You guys have to try the Sweet life drink, one of their staff Michele created this and it's awesome, particularly when made in the lobby bar. Short walking distance to town and they can arrange transportation if needed. The street food is so good and affordable compared to sitting in the instagram famous bars. Sorrento was such a great choice over Amalfi, Positano, or capri. Everything is accessible to do short excursions over if you're having trouble deciding. It's clean, an amazing price, and we had an amazing stay here.

The property was absolutely wonderful and very clean. Great attendance at front desk but few people spoke English outside of the front desk staff.

We loved this hotel! Beautiful rooms with a beautiful view. Very comfortable beds! The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff were all very helpful. The rooftop bar was always empty with such a great view of the water! My husband used the gym once and both pools were great too. The hotel was a 10 minute walk to the heart of Sorrento and all of the amazing restaurants and the port. I would definitely stay there again!

The hotel was excellent. Great location, great rooms, clean. The pools and areas where nice, roof top bar was great and views where brilliant. The staff where excellent and friendly always. Only negative which is my personal obsession was the iron in the room wasnt very good. Not a steam iron.

This hotel blew me away with how beautiful it was. The room has so many amenities that I felt like royalty. From shampoos and conditioners to a self care kit with a nail file to a tooth brush with tooth paste, we had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent and came with the best cappuccino in Italy. The view from the roof top is incredible, I can’t wait to return to sorrento and stay here for longer

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and well kept. I like that the hotel seemed quiet however we didn't have a car and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. (with hills). I would recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel de la Ville. It is our favorite hotel in Italy.

Paid $700/night for 3 people. The “garden view” room overlooked apartment buildings and hanging laundry. Worse, the AC didn’t work at night—we barely slept. We complained and were ready to move hotels, but management was kind enough to upgrade us to a sea view and comp one dinner. Unfortunately, the AC still didn’t work in the new room. It was unbearably hot, and at checkout the staff admitted the whole hotel was having AC issues. I wish they would have been honest prior to the room switch, we would have packed our things & left. Front desk service was mixed—two male staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, while the women were much nicer. Restaurant staff were excellent. Dinner was delicious, but breakfast was disappointing: leftover desserts from dinner, a few pastries, toast, eggs, and meats. The “sausage” was literally hot dogs, and the bacon was inedible. We were charged $380 for a third guest—just a cot added to the same room. No extra space or amenities, just a steep fee for a rollout bed & subpar breakfast. The rooftop pool is the size of a kiddie pool, the main pool is in an odd location with no view. Overall, the hotel was a major letdown. For the price, I expected far better comfort and service. I should have booked the Hilton for half the cost and 10x the quality & working AC! This experience ruined our trip to Italy. I won’t be booking through Expedia again—I feel totally misled.

This was our home base for 7 days. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Breakfast was superb.
