PROS:
- Great location.
It is close to tourist attractions and good food, but far enough away to not be busy and loud. Also, very close to the tram, the train, and bus stops.
- 24/7 reception
- They respect the do not disturb/ do not clean sign if you put it up
- Free Wi-Fi
- Deep tub (but I don’t think every room’s bathroom has a tub)
- free water bottles in the mini fridge (I don’t know if every room has one though)
CONS:
- Thin walls
- Uncomfortable mattress
- I thought the towels smelled weird (I don’t think they were dirty, just that what they use to clean them smells weird)
- My room’s ceiling light was damaged, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, and a hole in part of the wall
NEUTRAL:
- Rustic rooms
- Located near about two blocks of Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants and stores
TIPS:
- IT IS NORMAL FOR HOTELS IN EUROPE TO SCAN YOUR PASSPORT AT CHECK IN
- Get to the airport very very very early
- Take the tram to the hotel from the airport (€1.70)

L’hôtel est très bien, l’emplacement est parfait pour découvrir Florence à pied, gare à 5 min à pied, le personnel vraiment très gentil et attentionné, le seule souci c’est l’insonorisation qui est très mauvaise, à prévoir des bouchons d’oreille si vous voulez dormir un peu plus tard le matin.

Excellent location and staff! The hotel was close to the central area and we felt right at home throughout the whole stay thanks to the wonderful staff. Would definitely stay again next time we're in Florence.

The room was small but adequate for or short stay. The elevator was out of order when trying to check out, so carrying 5 bags down the stairs was a hassle. Overall, I would have been satisfied but the last day, we went down to have breakfast at 7:05 as everything was laid out and prepared. The desk clerk stopped us and said breakfast starts at 7:30. We asked why we could not go ahead since it was all ready. He said because it starts at 7:30. We told him we had a train to catch, so he told us to wait a few minutes while he “checked on something.” We stood around waiting but he never told us what we were actually waiting on. Finally we just handed him the keys and left. Ate at McDonalds across from the train station. This was the only person we had trouble with as the other front desk staff were extremely nice and helpful.

We stayed at Hotel City with a family for 2 days. It is super clean and quiet hotel and staff is very friendly. If your are looking for a good value hotel this is a place to consider

My wife & I enjoyed our short stay at Hotel City. The room was clean and it met our needs, very comfy bed. Enio and his staff were excellent, they provided information about the surrounding area and they made sure that we were taken care of.
