Hotel La Minerva

Our stay at the La Minerva Hotel was simply unforgettable, from the minute we got to Capri to the time we left. Their hospitality started well before we arrived as they helped us with whatever we needed from arrival to departure and everything in between. We took the ferry from Naples to Capri and as soon as we arrived someone from the hotel met us at the ferry to take our luggages (prearranged) and gave us directions to get to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by the awesome brothers, Marco and Antonino! Welcome lemonade and dessert followed (nice touch). This hotel offers gorgeous views, beautiful and spacious rooms with comfortable beds and well thought out amenities - their attention to the small details was impeccable! Each morning a wonderful breakfast buffet with made-to-order dishes was served on their rooftop terrace overlooking the sea with spectacular views. At night, it transformed into a special place where you could enjoy a nice and romantic dinner followed by drinks down at the Lobby Bar where Severio, their impressive bartender, works his magic (make sure you try his Elisir🌹). We also enjoyed quiet time at the pool and a most relaxing massage at their spa! If we could give it 10 stars, we would. Thank you Antonino, Marco and all of your wonderful staff for making our wedding anniversary trip such a very special and memorable one. You truly make this gem, a one of a kind hotel. We didn’t want to leave and we can’t wait to be back.

⸻ We stayed at this stylish boutique hotel for three nights with my wife before continuing on to Sorrento. From the very first moment, the hotel exceeded our expectations! It has a very stylish design and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful—from the first call, when the lovely receptionist contacted us to ask about our arrival time, to the last day when we had to leave. We’ve traveled a lot and stayed in many five-star hotels, and this was one of the best. We can truly recommend it.

Amazing hotel. Hotel Is a family owned and just so elegant. We loved it and they were beyond accommodating and friendly.

We were excited for this 5 Star hotel on our first visit to Capri. They upgraded our room to a deluxe room which was unexpected and nice. Upon arrival to our hotel room however, we immediately noticed a smell of insecticide (like Raid ant spray). It was strong and I mentioned it to the hotel staff right away. They sent house keeping who mopped the tile floor briefly with water- it did not solve the odor issue. When I asked her if she noticed the smell, she said it normally just smells that way & Im just not used to it. I asked if they had room freshener or something else to help and they didn’t. I mentioned it again to the management, and again was told, it was me- that it was a normal smell for them & I’m just not used to it. Both my husband and I were grossed out by it and didn’t want to spend time in the room that we paid high price for. They tried to remedy it by comping our dinner and drinks, but I would have rather paid for my meal and had a pleasant smelling room. The shower head was also broken and water spraying everywhere, and the drain was clogged but they did fix it. Too many negatives that didn’t outweigh the positives for us unfortunately. The overall hotel is nice, visually appealing, and a fabulous location. They need to update their pool- the entirety is a deep pool. Staff was kind, just not helpful in accommodating the odor issue which ruined our stay to be honest.

Antonino & his team were faultless from start to finish. I rarely write reviews But Antonino is a lesson for anybody on how to Run an amazing Hotel.

My favorite hotel in Capri. Antonio and Marco are wonderful; thoughtful and caring. Beautiful view, delicious breakfast, impeccably clean, and staff are always a delight. Highly recommend.
