The room was nice and spacious. The shower and sink are in the room, which is unique and a nice feature when staying in a hotel that has shared bathrooms (there is also a shower in the shared bathroom). The shared bathrooms were clean and well kept, and the staff were very kind! The receptionist gave us a map of Florence and pointed out/circled recommended things to do. We also got replacement shampoo and soap everyday. Would recommend!

The stay was very pleasant and peaceful. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff were very welcoming towards us. A very good place and would recommend!

After being robbed in Rome and waiting to get our temporary passport, we came to Florence and was welcomed with details of local attractions and transportation tip and basically everything in walking distance. Can’t be better stay in center of Florence and … be safe. At US consulate, there were people being robbed and their safe and luggage being took away with all the money and passports… this is a home away from home with sense of secure and extremely clean and convenient. We extended our stay again and again :)

We stayed at Hotel Masaccio for three nights during our visit to Florence. It is walkable to all of the sites. But if you’d rather not walk, the number 12 bus is right in front of the hotel and the number 11 bus will bring you back. We found the hotel to be charming, with a nice little dining area and balcony. The room was very clean and comfortable. Most of all it is a very affordable option and extremely convenient. I highly recommend the Hotel Masaccio.

It was pretty basic, but everything was charged - no tea and coffee facilities. No water bottle in room. A way outside of Florence

Das Hotel liegt nicht ganz im Zentrum, zum Dom geht man 15 Minuten. Da die Rezeption nur von 8-20 Uhr besetzt ist, hatte ich Angst, zu spät einzutreffen. Ich habe deshalb angerufen und die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hat mir erklärt, welche Straßenbahn ich nehmen soll und was ich machen soll, falls ich zu spät bin. Das Hotel selber ist sehr einfach. Hohe Stufen über mehrere Stockwerke ohne Lift ist mit schwerem Gepäck mühsam. Zimmer und Dusche waren etwas eng. Das Bett war nicht sehr bequem. Das Nötigste war aber vorhanden. Durch die nicht ganz zentrale Lage gab es in der Nähe einen Supermarkt, den man im Zentrum nicht findet, aber auch Bars und Bäckerein.

Our room size was great and the bathroom was really clean. Lots of stairs to our room. The staff was fine—not super helpful or willing in my opinion.

Hotel molto carino con personale veramente molto gentile e disponibile, la stanza era pulita. I mezzi di trasporto sono vicini alla struttura ed è facilmente raggiungibile il centro anche a piedi. Unica piccola pecca è stata la finestra con gli spifferi che ha fatto entrare aria fredda in stanza, ma una volta chiesta una coperta in più il problema si e risolto.

The hotel manager was very pleasant, supportive and helpful eg when I couldn’t open the lock to my luggage. As described there was a shower and basin in the room but shared toilet (which also had a sink n shower cubicle). The busy road was straight outside the room’s high up window. Connection to the railway station via bus is good. The walk into the centre of Florence takes say 20 minutes.

I spent only 2 nights here and what I saw of the area was quiet safe and friendly. It seemed to be an old part of town away from the tourist haunts. The lady manager and daughter and staff were very helpful. No lift and room in the top floor was a little inconvenient but overall a very nice stay.

Lovely little room, compact but everything we needed with private short and toilet. 10/15 minute walk into the centre. We had a room on the front of the hotel so on the main road, a little noisy but didn't notice anything when wore earplugs. Staff were really friendly and helpful, we would stay again.

located right outside of ZTL zone so you can park your car near by, and 15 mins walk into center of florence. room is not in great condition. No safe. no water for the room, no coffee no tea no fridge, not even kettle. when try to borrow things from kitchen or leave somethings in the hotel fridge, they wont let you stating a thousand rules and reason why. carrying luggages up the stairs was a serious work out. staff was polite but unhelpful and unfriendly.
