Great location right in the heart of Venice, with most attractions within walking distance. It is a little far from the train and bus station, but you can take the water bus to a nearby stop and walk from there. Just allow extra time, as waiting for the boat can slow things down.
The hotel has a lot of charm, although it does feel a little old-fashioned. The wooden floors mean you can hear people walking around above you if you are not staying on the top floor. My room had a balcony with a lovely view, which was a nice bonus.
A few things to note: there was no kettle in the room due to fire safety reasons, and no coffee or complimentary water provided. There was also only soap and no shower gel, which may not suit everyone.
Breakfast was included and enough to fill you up before going out, but it was quite basic. Apart from boiled eggs, there was no other hot food.
Overall, I would still recommend staying here for the excellent location and character of the property.

베네치아에서는 길을 찾기가 쉽지 않고, 또 무거운 짐을 들고 돌길과 계단을 오르내리기는 정말 쉽지 않습니다. 그런 의미에서 역에서 먼 이 곳은 사실 짐들고 찾아가기가 쉽지 않았습니다. 하지만 짐이 없다면 금방 걸어서 산마르코 광장까지 갈 수 있습니다. 호텔 앞 큰 광장이 있는데 아침에 베네치아 사람들의 출근길을 볼 수 있어요. 아무래도 조금 안쪽이다 보니, 관광객보다는 현지 사람이 많고, 현지 느낌 물씬 풍기는 곳입니다. 저흰 3층에 묵었는데 안타깝게도 엘레베이터가 없어서....쉽지 않아요 @.@ 마지막으로 와이파이는 있긴 있는데....진짜 잘 안되었어요 ㅠㅜ 식당이 있는 제일 아래층에서만 잘되고 방 안에서는 진짜 안 터져서...불편했어요 >_<

This hotel is good value for money given its location. The bed was clean, and room was sanitary. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Sound proofing is not great, we could hear the person next door snoring. Minor complaint as it's a 3 star hotel.
If this hotel has a deep clean and some proper maintenance, it could be really nice.
Our bathroom had signs of damp (being from the UK i'm used to this, could be prevented by installation of an extractor fan). Toilet had mould growing (again damp issue) and the air conditioning was frankly a health hazard and I made my wife turn it off, it needs a filter clean (stank of mould). The bathroom shower was very bizzare, as the shower screen was nowhere near the showerhead, meaning water gets everywhere (probably why there is a damp issue).
None of these issues dramatically affected our stay, simple fixes. It's a cheap 3 star after all.

Everybody was so friendly and helpful starting with the hotel director Andrea. I would stay there again when I go to Venice. Highly recommended. Close to everything. Breakfast spread was great and dining area was so quaint and not too overwhelmingly big like other hotels.

We stayed at Hotel Scandinavia 10 years ago. It is even more charming today! They have also installed a lift which makes it a little easier for a couple that is 10 years older and still haven’t learned how to pack light for Italy. The service was top notch, location is perfect and the room very adequate. Hope we can stay here again some day.
