We really enjoyed our stay. We had two rooms. The property was run down but beautiful and the staff was nice and very accommodating. Rooms were great, the staff was helpful in letting us know the balcony with sunset view was street side so lounder than back side balcony rooms which were quiet. This stay made us want to call a DIY show and bring this diamond in the rough back to glory! Walking distance to Michelin backed restaurant and Herculaneum. Good base for Mt Vesuvius (20 min/km) and Prompeii (45 min drive). Parking onsite was very convenient and secure.

The staff were very helpful, and willing to help, not just help because it is part of the job. From quick to translation to quick questions, they were there. Which was great because I can be a little nervous with language barriers.
In hindsight, I do wonder if there was a bit of a leak in my restroom, but me not bringing that to the attention of staff is on me, not on staff being unapproachable (because they were not).
The garden and park area around the hotel was what drew me to it. What I liked was that yes the property was unkept, but it was not so pristinely kept that I was scared of going off a path or fearful of touching anything. There may be a stray chair somewhere, or the remnants of a project unfinished, but that made me feel more comfortable about not needing to worry so much about what I did, unlike other places one could go.
Across the street is the most reliable sandwich shop, run by the most wonderful woman and her daughter (?), the kind of place that you know will be quality food and you’ll feel good buying from them. There’s a few different café’s, each with their own environment to them (aesthetically and sociologically). There’s also Herculaneum literally 2 blocks away and the beach a 10-15 minute walk, if that. Great, quality spots around without it being super busy all the time. I think this hotel being in such a location is fantastic. Inspires some movement, but you also have what you need close by incase you want a day in with minimal walking.

Got a room with a large balcony overlooking the grounds. Loved it! Breakfast wasn't that great but swimming pool was very nice an the grounds of the old villa, though not in great shape were enjoyable to wakk in. Very relaxing.
A very short walk to the ruins of Herculaneum. Didn't realize that when I booked but it is a huge plus if they are on your to do list. Front desk was very helpful friendly.

The room itself was huge and beautiful. Was clean and we were given 4 extra pillows. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The outside of the hotel is in need of much care. The pool area was cluttered and the pool itself was dirty. Seems like the outside of the hotel and property has been neglected…not sure if it’s off season, but definately did not look like the pictures on line.

Forfærdeligt hotel; råd i døre og vinduer, puds der falder af væggene - både på værelset, på gangene og i restauranten. Det er virkelig misligeholdt og beskidt. Vores madrasser var total udhulede og trængte seriøst til at blive skiftet ud med nogle nye. Plastik haveborde i restauranten. Tallerkner og bestik var ikke ordentlig rent, og dugene blev ikke skiftet i de dage, hvor vi var der. Morgenmads buffetten var mangelfuld - men kaffen var varm.
Den ene stjerne, som jeg giver, går til personalet. De var uprofessionelle, men søde og venlige.
Derudover er omgivelserne, hvor hotellet ligger ikke særlig gode. Hotellet ligger på en voldsom støjende og befærdet vej. Området flyder med alle mulige former for affald, hvilket er ret ulækkert. Og desuden er der ikke mange restauranter at vælge i mellem.
Vi undrer os meget over, hvordan det her hotel kan være vurderet til 4 stjerner. Der mangler helt sikkert kontrol med tingene.

Das Hotel ist toll gelegen, hat eine tolle Aussicht, einen wahnsinnig schönen Park und einen kleinen Pool, der ideal ist um sich nach einem anstrengen Tag zu erfrischend.
Aber das Interieur ist durch aus in die Jahre hekommen und hat -höflich gesagt- einen morbiden Scharm

Hôtel qui a du il y a quelques années offrir de belles prestations.
Hôtel dans belle demeure avec un parc de belle taille, des fontaines, des statues, et même des restes archéologiques et une piscine de belle taille et bien exposée et un parking.
Par contre, tout est vieillissant avec un entretien sommaire, ce qui est dommage et enlève de sa superbe à ce lieu.
Mais ce qui nous le plus déçu ce sont les chambres, non pas pour le confort, très spacieuse avec une très belle hauteur sous plafond, équipée d’un petit frigo, belle salle de bain.
Mais, notre séjour s’est déroulé fin août avec des températures avoisinantes les 30 degrés, nous avons été obligés d’ utiliser la climatisation.
Celle-ci étant datée, elle n’était pas assez puissante, nous avons donc dû ouvrir les fenêtres mais avions le bruit de la rue avec un incessant mouvement de voitures et autres bruits extérieurs (chien aboyant très régulièrement), ces nuisances ont rendu les nuits difficiles.
Par contre ménage fait tous les jours, petit déjeuner très correct.

Slidt hotel, det ydre murværk er i forfald. Det er længe siden at dette hotel var på sit højest. Ærgerligt det kunne have været et udenærket hotel....Hvis det var blevet renoveret. Det færste værelse vi fik tildelt og som vi låse os ind på, var dørhåndtaget til værelset brækket af, , og jeg mener HELT BRÆKKET AF, som nogen havde sprket håndet taget af med fuld kraft, så det hang og dinglede! Det var receptipns petsonalet slet ikke klar over! Sidepladerne oå badekarret var faldet af!, fik andet værelse. Ingen airconditionanlæg som virkede! Elevatoren var ude af funktion, så vi måtte gå op og ned fra 3. Etage, MED BAGAGEN! Da vi srnere våede is ned i restauranten, var denne lukkey, fik dog med lidt held noget petsonale i tale, som skænkede en Gin/Tonic op, MEN DE HAVDE INGEN ISTERNINGER!, for dom den unge mand sagde de var udgået for isterninger! Morgenmaden var mangelfuld og elendig.. kommer ikke igen.

L’hôtel est dans un état pitoyable. Les photos de présentation au moment de la réservation sont mensongères et trompeuses. Tout est laissé à l’abandon et le personnel complètement absent. L’établissement est sale et nous avons même trouvé un rat mort près de la salle de restauration. Notre chambre avait une Clim défectueuse, et donnait sur une rue très bruyante jusqu’à 3h du matin. Le lit de notre fille avait un pied cassé

Shabby chic Gone past it’s sell by date. On top of this the air conditioning was broken throughout the hotel. Only saving grace was Elenor, who went beyond to look after us and the situation - 5 star to her.

This hotel was probably great in 1970. Room was clean and spacious. Showing signs of wear. Grounds have not been kept up. The pool was great though. No bar as advertised, restaurant was very, very limited. Room was quite warm, air con could not keep up. Would be ok in cooler months.

To say this hotel is uncared for is an understatement, the pictures must be many years old. The grounds have not been looked after for many years. There was no air conditioning anywhere in the hotel (it was 34 degrees) our shower didn't work and the curtains in the room were falling down. The breakfast was meagre and to top it off when having a glass of wine in the courtyard (out of water glasses, they had no wine glasses) we witnessed staff fighting in front of us ...reminiscent of Faulty Towers but not really funny....The hotel would not even consider offering a discount. I would really advise people not to stay here there are many other options available.

Antiguo palacio reconvertido en hotel, agradecer la atención de la chica de recepción. Excepcional!!! Respecto a las instalaciones, destacar sobre todo la piscina. Rrecomiendo este hotel a todos los que viajen para visitar Nápoles , el parque arqueológico de herbolano, monte vesubio o Pompeya.

The grounds of the hotel are enormous, almost palatial and the room was incredibly spacious with a lovely view, but slightly run down. The air conditioning wasn't very cool, the controls for the jacuzzi didn't work and the door didn't lock Ercolano is a less affluent part of Italy but lying between Pompeii and Herculean makes it an interesting place to visit.
