This is a beautiful Ryokan! Best experience in Japan. The water in the Onsen is composed of minerals that help the skin. There is also a massage chair foot massage device. Highly recommended! The Ryokan gives you the feeling of being back in Old Japan with a 5 star service.

One of the most relaxing stays I’ve ever had. Unique property. I have good memories of Mr stay and would recommend.

Staff was incredibly hospitable. They saw us arriving by taxi and immediately came outside to greet us and help with luggage. Then were taken inside to some tea and a warm towel to warm up. Extremely communicative and make you feel very comfortable.

・宿の設備など ２００年の歴史ある宿で、和風の雰囲気を味わえることを期待した。 おおむね期待通りの雰囲気の宿だった。 趣のあるお堂や庭があるので、夜間にライトアップするともっと良くなると思った。 ・課題 今回はエクスペリアで予約したが、そもそも石屋に連絡が行っていなかった。 IT系が苦手なのかもしれないが、金沢市を含めインバウンドや観光に力を入れる以上言い訳にはならない。 若いスタッフがいなくても宿泊客との接点を予約サイトに任せて、十分な確認が取れない体制になっているのは問題といえる。 ITに振り回されるのではなく、宿がITを利用しているという意識をもって取り組んでいただきたい。

とても趣のあるお宿です。 能の舞台を見ながら頂くお食事も加賀特産のお野菜などを使用してあり、普段食べた事のない食材で美味しかったです。 温泉も本当にコーヒーですか？と思う様な色でしっとりとしています。

This ryokan was a top experience of our two-week trip in Japan. Such a charming and unique oasis and glimpse of traditional Japanese life. The rooms and facilities are even better than pictured. An onsen is included in the price, and you can go as often as you'd like. We highly recommend their nine-course meal that you can reserve (for an extra fee) up to two days prior to your stay. They even accommodated our group member's gluten allergy. The ryokan is easily accessible by bus from Kanazawa station (the folks at the Tourist Information Center make it easy to find), and you're greeted by staff the minute you get off the bus, as the stop is right there. We cannot say enough about this experience. It was definitely worth its value and will forever be a highlight of our time. Thank you, everyone at Motoyu Ishiya, for making our stay a memorable one!

We loved the location and the hot spring onsen was amazing

We had such an amazing time at this ryokan. A bit secluded just outside of Kanazawa it allowed us to just relax and enjoy the moment. The architecture and interior of the ryokan and its garden is outstanding! Every detail matters! It has a beautiful onsen, comfortable rooms and great food. We had the best time at dinner, everyone was heartwarmingly friendly and the food was served in such a nice way! I was especially grateful that they cooked an individual vegetarian meal for me! Highly recommended!

Une expérience a ne pas retenter. Pour toutes sortes de raisons : le côté complètement désuet, la nourriture, le service. Tout était complètement dépassé malheureusement.

とても素敵な時間を過ごせました

金沢の町中は人が多いので、郊外の山の中にある温泉宿を選びました。大成功。庭にある能舞台を見ながらの夕食は伝統的な加賀料理の洒落たアレンジ。ここでしか食べられないすばらしい夕食でした。もちろん朝食もすてきでした。

This was a great stay in Kanazawa. Traditional ryokan with great onsen. It is not downtown but a taxi from the Morimoto station (two stops from jR Kanazawa station) is only 1500 yen. What would have been nice to know prior to the stay was that there is a single JR bus from the hotel to downtown, sights and the JR station at 9:21am. The arrival at the JR station is a little after 10:00 am for planning purposes. Dinner is a big part of the experience. We enjoyed it but felt that one night was sufficient- especially because you get a similar experience at breakfast. We were able to find a fabulous meal downtown our second night.

とっても雰囲気のいい旅館で良かったです。お風呂も広々としていて、昔ながらな感じが良かったです。ただ、お風呂は脱いだスリッパ用の下駄箱があるといいかなと思いました。 またお料理もとっても美味しかったです。虫が入っている事を伝えると、別のお料理を代わりに出してくださったのですが、そのお料理が何か分からず聞くと担当の仲居さんも分からず「食べてみてください」と言われてしまったのが？？って感じでした。 また、能舞台を見たくて案内された大広間へ行くとまだ夕食中で「いつ頃なら？」と聞くと「そんなの分かりません」と言う感じに冷たくあしらわれてしまいました。 能舞台をウリにしているので見学できるのだと思っていたのに、とっても残念でした。 もちろん対応が素晴らしい方がほとんどだったので、そのような方々が際立ってしまい印象に残ってしまいました。。

お料理がひとつひとつ、とても美味しかったです。 アメニティなども充実しており、特に靴下やパックをもらえたのが、ありがたかったです。従業員の方も親切で、快適な宿泊ができました。

金沢市から少し離れた静かな山の中で、 ホッと心が落ち着きます❀.*･ﾟ お夕食が何を食べても美味しくて感動♡ ただ、蟹クリームチーズグラタンは少し脂っこいのか、大人には重いです。 若者には喜ばれると思いますが。 お風呂も気持ち良く、源泉のパックで更にお肌がスベスベ、もちもちになりました。 旅館の雰囲気も良いし、 旅館のスタッフさんも親切で、 朝早く目覚めてしまった私に、開放時間よりも早めに朝のお風呂用意して下さいました♪ とても居心地が良かったです。

Wonderful experience! Staffs are super nice~ They always smile and be friendly to everyone. Rooms are quiet, tidy and comfortable. The onsen❨hot spring❩ is amazing as well!!! Also, the food❨dinner and breakfast❩are delicate, fresh and delicious. A traditional Japanese environment is presented. I love the Japanese garden view and decoration. I will definitely recommend 元湯石屋 to others!

Authentic Japanese Ryokan Food and culture. Quiet and peaceful place.
