정말 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 로비에서 서비스까지 모든 사람들이 친절했습니다. 객실은 깨끗했습니다. 수영장은 정말 좋았습니다. 카페는 멋지고 고풍스러웠습니다. 아침 식사 음식은 정말 훌륭했습니다. 종류가 너무 많았습니다.

중요 사항
말레이시아 왕립 세관에서 발표한 바와 같이, 2023년 1월 1일부터 말레이시아 비거주자 또는 비영주권자인 모든 호텔 투숙객에게 관광세가 부과됩니다. 호텔에서 체크인 시 관광세를 징수할 예정입니다. 관광세율은 객실당 1박당 10 RM입니다.

1) Effective from June 1, 2014, the City Council of Penang will impose a Local Council Tax of MYR 3 per room per night for 4 and 5-star hotels, and MYR 2 per room per night for 0 to 3-star hotels. The star rating will be in accordance to the rating from Local Council and should the rating differ from the website, the local council rating will apply. This fee is being included in Hotel's Room Rate. 2) With effect from 01 September 2017, with reference to the Law of Malaysia Act 791, Tourism Act 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Resident of Malaysia, are committed to a Tourism Tax of MYR 10.00 nett per room night of stay as determined and imposed by the Malaysian Government, which is not included in the reservation and will be collected by the hotel upon check in. This is to be applied in-addition to existing fees/taxes levied and the existing local tourism fee in Penang. 3) Abiding by the Government Movement Control Order’s SOP, the Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Spa and certain Food and Beverage outlets unfortunately will not be made available during your stay until further notice.

깨끗하고 유럽풍나는 느낌. 전체적으로 좋았습니다. 조식도 맛있고 코로나 대비도 잘되어있음. 다만 수영장 이용시간이 너무짧아서 아쉬운점. 하우스키핑도 콜하면 5분내로와서 좋음. 바다전망 테라스가 너무 멋있다. 다음에 온다면 또 무조건 이용할예정.

생러드에서 죽은 나방이 나와서 말했지만 매니져나 직원 누구하나 미안해하지 않았습니다
빵에는 개미떼가 줄지어 있었습니다
그또한 얘기했지만 ㅡ사과한마디 없이 교체만 되었습니다.
매우 불쾌했습니다 ㅡ;;
역사가 유서깊은 곳이라 일부러 방문했지만 직원들의 태도는 매우 실망스럽고 ㅡ 컵의청결상태 , 음식테이블의상태, 카페트의 청결상태는 ;; 역사를 무색하게 하기에 충분했습니다 .

Staff in general not very friendly except the doormen and porters. Cockroach at noodle area at breakfast. Just not a welcoming vibe in general. I’m a platinum member with an established group of hotels and I forwent that to experience something different and I found the hotel to be nothing special. May have the laurels of being 140 years old but the welcoming is definitely not that.

A delightful step back into the charm of traveling in the past. Like Raffles in Singapore, this hotel will bring you back to the time when travel felt like living abroad. Our room was beautiful, a suite opening up onto the garden next to the waters edge. The room is beyond comfortable and quiet, a beautiful experience. The hotel staff is helpful and friendly, the hotel itself is quiet and spacious. The breakfast is delicious, we had one of the best Nasi Gorengs here. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay in George Town.

A very beautiful heritage property that oozes class.
We had a king room in the newer Viceroy annex. Really huge room overlooking the sea.
The staff are really friendly and helpful the entire stay.
Great buffet breakfast in Sarkeys - huge choice of hot and cold food including freshly made noodles and eggs according to your choice. We really enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast as the main room gets a bit noisy . The only negative was we found it a bit odd that they clear breakfast up 20 minutes before closing time so that's a bit of a rush and unusual for a hotel to do that. But apart from that great breakfast. For a smaller choice but for a more pampered breakfast The Planter is a nice alternative. Very attentive staff there.
Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds and seats. Never crowded. However the time of booking it should be mentioned that you can't use the big main pool in the Heritage wing unless you're staying in that side which was a shame.
Fantastic location near all the main tourist sites and restaurants. Grab taxis are suoer cheap by the way.
Overall loved it.

Its lovely but note:
- very little information is given at check in about bars/facilities/features of the hotel
- the victory suites do not allow access to the heritage pool, nor access to the club suite, none of which was intimated anywhere when booking nor on the hotel's own website/literature. We asked to upgrade when we found this and got a flat refusal
- the victory pool while lovely has steps into it the last one being about 18 2 feet abovethe pool floor. If you are elderly or got good on your feet, you will struggle
- some areas could do with TLC, e.g the wondows in Planters Bar needed a wash and the outside tables were grubby

Easily accessable to anywhere in Geogetown. House keeping service us excellent. Breakfast choices are abundant.
Swimming pool area is fully self service. This is an area that could be improved, at least with provision of water or ice water, etc.

Great buffet breakfast in Sarkeys - huge choice of hot and cold food including freshly made noodles and eggs according to your choice. We really enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast as the main room gets a bit noisy . The only negative was we found it a bit odd that they clear breakfast up 20 minutes before closing time so that's a bit of a rush and unusual for a hotel to do that. But apart from that great breakfast. For a smaller choice but for a more pampered breakfast The Planter is a nice alternative. Very attentive staff there.
Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds and seats. Never crowded. However the time of booking it should be mentioned that you can't use the big main pool in the Heritage wing unless you're staying in that side which was a shame.
Fantastic location near all the main tourist sites and restaurants. Grab taxis are suoer cheap by the way.
Overall loved it.

We love this heritage hotel!
So much space, well maintained. Love the sea view too! Good location,easy to grabcar to many spots. The breakfast is also fabulous! Will stay here again if we return

Its lovely but note:
- very little information is given at check in about bars/facilities/features of the hotel
- the victory suites do not allow access to the heritage pool, nor access to the club suite, none of which was intimated anywhere when booking nor on the hotel's own website/literature. We asked to upgrade when we found this and got a flat refusal
- the victory pool while lovely has steps into it the last one being about 18 2 feet abovethe pool floor. If you are elderly or got good on your feet, you will struggle
- some areas could do with TLC, e.g the wondows in Planters Bar needed a wash and the outside tables were grubby

Easily accessable to anywhere in Geogetown. House keeping service us excellent. Breakfast choices are abundant.
Swimming pool area is fully self service. This is an area that could be improved, at least with provision of water or ice water, etc.
