The sound proof of the room was not good enough especially closing door ‘bang’ noise. The bed sheet was spotted some hairs from the last guest.

The property has aged since we were last there in 2022 and 2024. The buffet dinner at the Spice Garden is still pretty good with lots of varieties.

Writing The stay was amazing. Despite the remote location — you need to take a Grab to get to the city centre — the ocean view was absolutely worth it, especially for the price we paid. The room was clean, and the staff was wonderful. I would definitely recommend purchasing the breakfast, as it was excellent. We also received a couple’s discount when purchasing breakfast directly at the restaurant. In addition, we had an amazing dinner at the downstairs restaurant with a beautiful ocean view. On the downside, be careful with the step when entering the bathroom. I also wish there had been more than just two bath towels provided, and another one placed on top of the toilet bowl. It would have been nice to have more than one bottle of combined hair and body wash in the shower as well. My husband used the gym and mentioned that the air conditioning seemed to be turned off all the time — working out in a stuffy room without AC was quite uncomfortable. It also seemed like a very strong air freshener was being used to mask the smell. Overall, it was a great stay, but there is still room for improvement.

This property is quite old, according to our Grab driver it's about 50 years old and it shows. They only have 3 lifts, one of which wasn't in service the entire time we were there. The lifts were slow and crowded. Our room had torn bedding the day we checked in, the bathroom had grime under the sink. This property way past its prime. The only thing they have going for them is its location and the people who work there, service was excellent. Everyone greeted guests with warm smiles. The breakfast buffett was very good, that alone made up for much that is wrong with this hotel.

Beachfront and clean.

La chambre est spacieuse mais les draps n’étaient pas très propres. Des traces de brûlé sur le fauteuil… Le personnel à la réception n’a pas été très accueillant et les transats de la piscine sont vétustes. Le point fort est sur la vue de la chambre et celui de la piscine.

Really nice staff and great restaurant with a terrific breakfast brunch buffet.. Nice room & pool. Across from hotel is a good night market with fresh local food and cultures to enjoy for reasonable prices

Great location, clean.

The hotel is great, clean and good location. However we had pretty unpleasant experience at the pool - they only allowed 2 towels per room and we booked a family room for 4pax. In general, we experienced most of the staff are trained to follow the rules instead of creating good experience for their guest.

The hotel is right on the beach and next to a hawker centre serving good food and durian The room has full ocean viand super spacious.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hompton, great location for access to Gurney, Buterfinger or Georgetown, friendly helpful staff.

Room was clean and comfortable, great view. Staff were attentive and helpful. Food and drink was good.
