Hotel de Art @ USJ 21

My second stay at this hotel, in the exact same room. The bar next door did not play music until late at night, so that was an improvement. This time, only 1 of our 2 key cards was weirdly disabled, which is also an improvement.

Great reception service since they allowed early check in with additional payment per hour. Nice and cosy room except for the noise coming from the room next door. Easy to find places too eat since it's walking distance from the Main Place mall. Good job on the security when it comes to midnight. I really had a pleasant stay here as my room is by the window of the main street. definitely gonna repeat my staycation here

Hotel decor is nice and creative, but not too obtrusive. We booked a family room, which was quite large and comfortable. Service was good, but our key cards were suddenly disabled for some reason and we had to get them re-activated at the reception counter downstairs. The one drawback of this hotel is the pub/bar right next to it, which was blasting loud music until quite late at night.

The hotel itself is good and comfortable. Location is strategic but very noisy in the middle of the night because there is a club just in front of the hotel.

The staff is friendly. The room is clean. The hotel is full of design.

I stayed there twice from 3-5 No. Then for a night stay from 8-9 Nov 2018 with my husband for a short transit in Subang Jaya. At the counter, there's 2 boys taking care of the reception counter (each one day-shift and night-shift). I would say both of them has problem understanding request from us. After staying one night, before going out the next morning, we had informed the day-shift receptionist boy that we do not want housekeeping for our room but to our surprise, their foreigner housekeeping staff still comes in clean our room even though we had mentioned to him and he understood clearly. We were very much unhappy about it since we have our personal laptops and Ipad laying around the table and the bed. Then during our second time staying there, since we checked in late at night, there was nobody else around besides the receptionist boy. Upon check in, we realized that the housekeeping had forgotten to replace new bathroom floor towel inside the toilet. We rang up the hotel's telephone number (no in-room telephone available) to get it send to us. We waited and waited for more than 30 mins until we got so fed up, my husband went downstairs and found the receptionist to be chilling and smoking outside forgetting our request again. That was last straw. I would not return to this hotel again.

You can get to this hotel by going through the back of Main Place mall (LDP side). The hotel exterior and interios is extremely adorable but maybe be too girly for some. We got a room on the ground floor. The bathroom is big, room size also okay. I like the pillows, they are very comfyy, but bedding not so. Only toothbush with mini toothpaste is provided as toiletries. The dispenser for soap does not dispense soap easily, I have to keep pressing and it comes out a little with each press. The internet connection is not good, the wifi on Ground floor didn't work so we had to connect to the one on 1st floor and the connection is not strong. The heater was not working. I informed the guy in the morning because I needed to shower, he came in did some fixing and it worked. There's a nightclub nearby called Don't Tell Mum, they play really loud music so you can hear a little of it in the hotel. First night I woke up at 4.30am to go to the washroom, I can hear someone jabbering loudly in Tamil. I can hear the whole conversation as if he was in the toilet with me :( Then i went back to bed I still can hear him loudly until I finally managed to doze off. Following morning we went out, came back at night but our room was not made. We asked for fresh towels and bottled water from the reception. We checked out the following day. Overall the stay is okay if you are not fussy. Ask for a room on a much much higher floor so you don't someone talking outside.

Room and hotel decorations are very unique and nice. Cleanliness is to be improved. Dust on bedtop, toilet bowl cover is loose. Only have raindrop shower, no shower cap provided.

Staf melayan kami dengan baik. wow! hotel baru 4 bulan beroperasi. Tidak nampak macam 2 bintang tetapi rasa macam 3 bintang! Dekorasi seni lukisan yang menarik di dinding hotel dan di dalam bilik.

Too noisy at night because of nearby lounge bar.

Toilet so dirty. Before guest baru masuk periksa dulu kebersihan bilik. Laci banyak habuk rokok.
