Rooms needs updating and too much timeshare

Good overall! Something to keep in mind is that there is No airconditioning in any of the buffet restaurants you had to go for breakfast or lunch, and for dinner only some of the specialty restaurants had air conditioning. Also, the lunch restaurants are located around the pool/beach so, if you are checking out around lunch time and plan to have lunch prior to leave the hotel, know that you will have to leave your luggage at the lobby and walk all the way to the beach/pool area to eat or you can wait for a golf cart but that can take you some time. Restaurants that require reservation, almost impossible to get one and we stayed there for 7 nights. The food at the buffet was not very varied and sometimes the quality was poor, or not fresh. The staff was generally good but we had these conciereges following us around from the day we arrived to try to convice us to attend some sort of special breakfast in order to sell us a timeshare, we knew about this in advance and did not fall for it but be aware that this is real and is very annoying. After we refused several times to attend to such thing, they were not so willing to help us in other things or they would show some attitude. At the lobby they could give different answers to your inquiries depending on who was there, very confusing and frustrating. Ther rooms were clean, the entretainment team was great, the pools were beautiful. Lots of wildlife which we really enjoyed, and the drinks were excellent too!!

Great place

We love Iberostar. We even take their Star Prestige offer so we can travel to other countries using Iberostar hotels knowing we will have the same experience we have in Riviera Maya to their other hotels.

Bugs in room, power outages every other night. Ac unit did not work properly . Poor service with the illusion that they’re willing to help. Got tricked into doing a time share demo wasting our morning for high pressure salesman. 300usd credit was a lie and another cheap tactic to get people to book. Pools were dirty too lots of dead bugs and dry leafs

Everything about Iberostar was excellent. Especially the GREAT SMILES that the staff had, from House keeping, Restaurant staff.......etc.

Nothing special, was just ok, almost all the restaurants and buffet are open air just fans that spin, and was very hot and uncomfortable. The beach was full of weeds and smelly, we used the pool and was kind of dirty. The people working there are great, the room was nice, we had no view at all from the porch just trees. Will not recommend this place.

Staff really takes care of you. Small tip goes a long way.

Second time to stay at this resort. Huge property fairly well maintained. It has a lot to do. Plenty of bars and activities. It even has a shopping center on property. The food could have been better is my only gripe but there are plenty of dinning options.

El hotel esta muy bien cuidado, la limpieza del hotel y la habitación es excelente, el único punto malo es que la alberca estaba un poco sucia pero se podía usar sin problemas. La comida es muy buena.

Buffet was gross, cold items left out for long periods. Roped into sales presentation for 3 HOURS! Not enough golf carts to get around the place- it was huge! Reservation restaurants were also not great. Best place to eat was the burger shop or grill on the beach. Bottom shelf liquor. Room was clean. Staff was not very helpful when asking questions- sorry I don’t speak Spanish. Shopping mall was OK- VERY OVERPRICED! Bag of chips was 17 dollars! Not coming back
