Hotel.com should have researched this property more thoroughly before listing it. Parking is about a 20-minute walk from the riad, and the cost is not the 30 DHS indicated—it is actually 60 DHS per night. Because the walk is long and through narrow pathways in the Medina, you will also need to hire a porter to transport your luggage to the riad. Riad Dar Bayane is very difficult to locate within the old Medina, and the property itself is extremely small. The rooms are compact to the point of being uncomfortable. The beds are too small for an older couple, and both the mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. The room was so tight that when one person got up, the other had to sit down just to make space. The online photos appear zoomed in or taken at angles that make the rooms look much larger than they truly are. The shower also had almost no water pressure, making it nearly unusable. To be fair, the staff were very nice and extremely helpful—our experience had nothing to do with them. Unfortunately, the facilities and overall comfort level did not meet our expectations. This riad may be suitable for younger travelers who don’t mind very tight spaces and minimal amenities, but it is not suitable for seniors. We ultimately forfeited one of our nights and booked a different hotel just to breathe and rest comfortably.

Ce Riad est très moderne: de grande baie vitrée donne sur le patio central (attention de respecter les clients quand vous parlez dans ce patio) A savoir: les marches d’escalier ont une hauteur «  marocaine »et pour arriver au roof top du petit déjeuner c’est un escalier métallique hélicoïdal Le petit déjeuner est très copieux très varié et servi à table mais très marocain : normal … pour la baguette beurré 1/2 sel il faut rester en France ! Literie et mobilier de salle de bain très moderne Personnel très aimable mais n’oubliez pas de prévenir un peu avant d’arriver le 1er jour Ah oui ne pensez pas arriver avec un taxi devant la porte du Riad ( vous aurez 600m à faire à pied (peut être moins quand la place Jemma Efna sera finie) mais il y a des aimables jeunes marocains qui vous guideront -avec leur charrette pour transporter vos valises- Enfin il est extrêmement bien situé si votre centre d’intérêt principal est la place ( très animée la journée comme la nuit) Jemma Efna (Le Riad est cependant complètement au calme )

Petit-déjeuner copieux. Chambre belle et propre. Lit confortable. Le personnel est très disponible et aimable. De petites attentions comme une bouteille d'eau chaque jour. Un séjour parfait !

Really good service and location with a nice breakfast. They even packed us breakfast when we had to leave early at 6:45 am which was very nice. Hotel facilities were good as well. Would come back again.

We can't recommend this riad enough! The customer service from end to end has been excellent, with Moustapha, Jamal and the team being the most welcoming and considerate hosts to us for the whole week. Nothing is too much trouble, from helping us get from the airport to giving local recommendations, and even organising early breakfasts for us when we had trips planned. Truly wonderful service, for that alone we would come back! It was almost a bonus that the riad itself is as beautiful as it is, a real calm oasis in the heart of the Medina. It's a few minutes walk from the main square and some excellent restaurants, and only a short walk to the road should you need a taxi to further out sites. The free breakfast was lovely, different every day, and we looked forward to seeing what treats we had each day! And the terrace is a peaceful area to relax, eat, even read and sunbathe. The cold plunge pool is a wonderful escape from the heat, and the rooms themselves are quiet, comfortable and air conditioned, with lovely bathrooms. We absolutely recommend staying here, amazing value for money, we couldn't fault a thing. We will be back on our next trip to Marrakech, thank you Moustapha, Jamal and the rest of Riad Dar Bayane.

The property is beautiful. The staff very friendly and helpful. Location is close to site seeing and shopping area. We were very happy with our stay at this Riad, and I recommend it. I would love to stay at this Riad again should I visit Marrakech.

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine dans ce riad de toute beauté et au calme. Il est idéalement placé pour visiter Marrakech. Nous logions dans la chambre Wafa. Moustapha et toute son équipe ont été au petit soin pour nous et d'une grande gentillesse. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et de qualité. La chambre était propre, spacieuse et confortable.

We had a lovely time at the Riad and was very comfortable throughout. Service and housekeeping was perfect. Breakfast was a good variety and fresh. Lovely stay and thank you for your hospitality!

Moustapha nous a accueillies chaleureusement. Il s'est occupé de la réservation d'un cours de cuisine marocaine qu'il nous a recommandé et que nous avons adoré. À notre départ, comme nous devions quitter avant l'heure du déjeuner, il s'est assuré que nous ayons un lunch froid qu'on a pu apporter avec nous. Bref, le riad Dar Bayane est un hébergement très agréable que nous recommandons chaleureusement. Suzanne et Geneviève

Moustapha and his team were superb. They could not do enough to help us enjoy our Marrakesh stay. The riad itself although only 6 rooms is very nicely decorated. Location is walkable to all major tourist attractions in the medina. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a traditional decor. I must admit we arrived late on our first night as our flight was delayed and Moustapha had arranged a meal for us, which we felt guilty as we didn’t eat much, but the food was traditional Moroccan, and was as good as any other meal we had. Moustapha I think the next morning could sense we were nervous of the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh so sat with us and explained some do’s and don’ts with some great restaurant recommendations (and bars)for which we were super grateful. We had a walking tour guide arranged by the riad too, which was great, highly recommended. We took a trip to the mountains which is a full day, but it gave us a lot of culture and sights we wanted to experience, and not expensive. The riad or tripadviser can tell you all you need to know. The souks and main square are madness. Prepare yourself for this and you’ll be fine. It feels safe, and everyone you meet is very friendly.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Dar Bayane. The property itself is gorgeous, just as it looks in photos and is also in an amazing location being only a few minutes away from the main square. Whilst it is so close to everything, it also feels very private and quiet. Moustapha and the staff were incredibly friendly, giving us recommendations and making us feel very well looked after. They even made us a packed breakfast for the airport when we left! Our room was cleaned every day and was spotless. The breakfast provided was also incredible, with a range of Moroccan foods. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and would definitely recommend! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
