A quiet ten-day escape from the city, with lots of beach walking, some sea and pool swimming, delicious dining, and great service from the staff. Only shortcoming was the wonky wifi, but honestly, it's sad that I would have even cared about this in my younger days (because there was no wifi in my younger travel days). I would go back, yes. Not much to do, but then, rest and relaxation for me is peace, quiet, a comfortable bed, a good book to read, and lots of morning coffee. I got all of that, and more.Oh, yeah, and mostly sunshine even during monsoon season!

Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans cet hôtel directement au bord de mer,dans un jardin bien entretenu,piscine adéquate avec service de bar Petit déjeuner bien varié et copieux,restauration à midi et le soir possible,tout est bien préparé et bon. Toute l’équipe ,de la réception,restauration ou du service de nettoyage un grand merci pour leur gentillesse et leur dévouement !

Absolutely loved the place. Best resort ever-Great experience. Staff was super attentive and Nice, the resort small, Beautifull and Well done. Garden Beautifull and Beach Beautifull. Can only recommend it - by far the Best option in Ngwe Saung. While the lighting in most other places is overdone this is an example of perfect balance. The lighting is elegant and in harmony with the beautiful garden - underlines the feeling of care and quality that characterizes this wonderful oasis. All in all an amazing experience we can only recommend. Nice and peacefull atmosphere different from the large mainstream resorts and with a great sense for details from garden to room, restaurant and reception area.

Extrem schlechte Englischkenntnisse. Viel Personal, das jedoch hilflos herum steht, guter Manager, der anleitet, fehlt. Schlechter Allgemeinzustand der Anlage.

Idéale en couple

Wer gehobene Preise verlangt (82 EUR), sollte auch gehobenen Standard liefern. Das ist hier nicht der Fall. Hier hält das Eskala-Hotel eher was es verspricht (waren dort ebenfalls zwei Nächte). Wem etwas Einfacheres genügt sollte sich nach etwas Preiswerterem umsehen als dem Emerald Sea. Mit den unten stehenden Punkten könnten wir ohne Probleme leben, wenn der Preis nur halb so hoch gewesen wäre. Zimmerservice: Klopapier nicht nachgefüllt, leere Flaschen nicht weggeräumt Pool: Blätter, Haare, Sand. Eventuell mal reinigen? Gebrauchte Handtücher werden wieder zusammengelegt und als “frisch” auf die Liegen gelegt. Rezeption: Unbeholfen, die Rechnung habe ich letztendlich selbst zusammengerechnet Restaurant: Ratten unterm Dach, Frühstück oft leer geräumt und Obst voller Mücken, Cocktails auf der Karte nicht verfügbar (Gin, Campari), Suppe mit grünen harten Tomaten, Reis meist kalt. Personal: Sehr nett und höflich, das ist zwar viel wert aber leider nicht alles. Es Bedarf eines Managements, welches das vorhandene Personal auch entsprechend einweist und führt, um die Mängel zu beheben.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Aus europäischer Sicht könnte das Hotel etwas überholt werden, aber es war trotzaltem sehr gepflegt. Die Außenanlagen waren ebenfalls sehr gepflegt. Das Personal war immer freundlich, hat sich sehr bemüht.

Sometime I saw flies and mosquitos. We get 3 rooms but one room aircon not cool. Breakfast very good for us.

Le personnel est touchant de gentillesse et fait tout pour vous rendre votre séjour agréable. Les massages étaient sublimes et très payables dans un environnement magnifique. Que demander de plus! Petit déjeuner complet et sympa en bord de piscine.

Sehr schöne Anlage mit viel grün direkt am Strand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, ein Platz zum wohlfühlen.

Ich hatte eines der Doppelzimmer. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und komfortabel eingerichtet. Das Restaurant bietet super Frühstück (sehr umfangreiches Buffet) und abends leckere Gerichte zu guten Preisen. Das Spa kann ich nicht empfehlen. Es ist offen und voller Insekten, keine Wechselkleidung und trotz mehrmaligem bitten sanft zu bleiben war es viel zu schmerzhaft. Schlechteste Massage in ganz Myanmar. Die Zimmer haben leider Straßenlärm und abends Diskolärm. Die Bungalows sind eher am Meer und etwas ruhiger.

Hotel Emerald Sea Resort has a great beach front location that is quiet and scenic. The hotel has been built amongst mature palm trees and shrubs and has a freshwater swimming pool. Buffet breakfast has a variety of choices from Western to Burmese and eggs cooked to order. Dinners at the hotel were delicious and the service very good. My one complaint was the number of mosquitos in our room and we had problems with the TV, air conditioning and the light by the wardrobe only worked at certain times, so I couldn't see inside the cupboard very well. There are mosquito nets over the beds and staff come round and spray insecticide in the room around 6pm every evening, but there are louvred wooden shutters each side of the doors onto the balcony that have huge gaps so mosquitos fly in easily. Put mosquito netting over those areas and it will greatly reduce the numbers.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön. Bungalows liegen schön, von den günstigen Zimmern im Haupthaus eher Straßenblick.,die oberen Zimmer nehmen die unten sind muffig. Am Strand gibt es kostenlos Liegen und Sonnenschirme. Frühstück sehr gut. Guter Service. Zimmer etwas überteuert

Le staff comme partout en Birmanie, d'une gentillesse absolue, toujours souriant. Les surperviseurs parlent très bien anglais, ils s'occupent de tout pour vous, mobilette, taxi ou bus vers Yangoon, activités à votre demande... L'hôtel a un grand jardin central avec palmiers, etc très bien entretenu, qui donne vraiment l'impression d'être dans une grande maison de campagne et pas dans un hôtel. Les bungalows sont très spacieux et jolis, respectant l'environement. Ils ont des transats sur la plages, pas le cas de tous... Comme partout en Birmanie, la SDB a besoin d'un coup de rafraichissement et de déco. Quand nous y sommes allé, il n'y avait pas de bar, mais on prenait des verres sur le bord de la piscine ou sur les transats de plage, mais ils nous ont dit qu'il est prévu d'en avoir un sur la plage bientôt. La nourriture est bonne, le petit déjeuner bien, le resto donnant sur le jardin et la piscine. Très beau moment en amoureux.
