I ended up in Amsterdam after my flight home from Brussels was canceled due to a strike and I had to rebook out of AMS for the following day. I was concerned that any hotel near the airport would have absurd same-day rates, but the Ibis was very reasonable. The major draw is the free hotel shuttle, which runs twice an hour during off-peak times and every 20 minutes during peak hours. This alone saved me close to 60 euros in Uber fees. I was also relieved that the room had AC, although it wasn't powerful enough to keep up with the high-90s F heat wave. With the provided fan, it did keep the room comfortable. I didn't use any of the buffet options because I bought a sandwich and some snacks in the airport/train station grocery store, which I highly recommend because the mini-market prices at the hotel are pretty steep, although buffet prices are standard for a hotel. With some planning, if you want to visit the city center, you can grab the shuttle from the hotel back to the airport and get a train to Amsterdam-Centraal for about 8 euros. It takes about 35 minutes for this trip, which is the same as a taxi or Uber. Coming home, I took an Uber because it was late and it ran about 27 euros, which is high but not outrageous for a half-hour journey. Overall, this comfy and convenient hotel was a godsend after a canceled flight, rebooking in a different country, and 12 hours of travel.

The hotel’s location near the airport was convenient, and the shuttle service operated on a reliable schedule. The front desk staff were welcoming, courteous, and helpful throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the room was extremely basic and lacked many of the amenities typically offered by hotels. I had hoped to find at least an ice bucket to help keep food cold, but the only available container was the trash bin. There were also several maintenance issues, including a clogged sink and an air-conditioning unit in the ceiling that leaked water onto the floor. In addition, the room did not provide hangers or a hairdryer, and the buffet breakfast was disappointing. I was also surprised that a small cup of coffee cost €4.50. While the convenient location and friendly staff were definite positives, the lack of amenities, maintenance concerns, and underwhelming dining experience detracted from my stay. For these reasons, I am giving this hotel a 3-star rating.

シャトルバスのサービスが良かった。アムステルダム市街に行くのも30分くらいで行け、アムステルダムの市街の高いホテルに泊まる必要もないのが良い。

Very low end airport hotel. Cheap and easy.

Well this was an experience we'd hope to avoid. We have stayed at different ibis hotels before and always been happy with it. From the start the hotel did not answer messenges/questions that we posed (around the transfer). When it came to the transfer- convenient yes- but also no communication whatsoever- it say that the transfer bus goes to three different Ibis hotels- when arriving to first stop they do not say which of the three hotels it is- it was confusing and people did not know if they should get off or stay in the bus. Some that jumped off then had to realise when they tried to check in that it was the wrong hotel. We asked for where the transfer bus left in the morning and the personell pointed to one of the exits- we realised in the morning that that was not true, it left from another exit. When checking in, it took ages, and at the same time there was available personell in the front disk that decided to do other things than help with the check in. We visited the bar to get something to eat- the selection was meagre (taco bowl, hgot dog, bao bun and popcorn) - we took two taco bowls- they arrived 15 min apart- and was really not worth the money. The bartender was good/gave good service though. The room was ok.

Not much around it, as it's out by the airport. Airport shuttle was convenient, but badly run & managed. Bus terminal is across the street. Stay if you want, but avoid the shuttle.

De accomodatie was prima in orde. Prima verblijf als je vroeg in de ochtend op Schiphol moet zijn. Shuttlebus was prima op tijd en wij waren ruim op tijd op Schiphol.

Decent hotel, a short free shuttle away from the airport. The room I had, although basic, was clean and well maintained.

Other than the bed being rock hard and really uncomfortable I had nothing to complain about everyone was happy and friendly would definitely come back

Shuttlebus fungerte dårlig. Lang ventetid, altfor mange folk, og busser som var overfylte og ikke kom til oppsatt tid. Kom ikke med buss før etter 1,5 timer

A better breakfast would help. The same architecture in each and every room, with really poor ventilation in the loo make the facility "cheesy", and cheap. Staff are OK, however, likely underpaid and under appreciated. Opening the windows to air the room between guests, or at least once a week might help.

Wonderful place. The staff was so gentle and helpful. Totally recommend it.

I spent two days there. It is a decent hotel to stay at if you need to be close to the airport and your stay will be less than 24 hours. It will suffice your needs. The room is small, outdated, and so hot that we needed to get a fan from the front desk, and the wifi was incredibly spotty. If I am ever in the area again, I would pay the extra money to be in the bigger brand hotels.

Only there one night because of a very early flight. Don't have much to say.
