Nice motel in a quiet spot. Lovely rooms.

I booked this hotel and was charged the full amount before being handed our hotel room key. Unfortunately we took a step in the room and lasted less then 2 minutes before we had to leave, as our disabled son was traumatized by the room and had a major autistic meltdown. We are not sure what caused this meltdown (couldve been a smell, noise, or just the room) but he was patting his ears while hysterically crying and repeating the word 'door'. He was terrified and we wouldve ruined everyones holidays if we hadve stayed, as he would not stop screaming. We handed our key back in and explained why we had to leave. We did not touch anything in the room, but they were not willing to offer any refund (not even a small partial amount.) This was a horrible experience for us and we felt like the staff treated us like we had a naughty child, even though our 5 year old has very high needs autism and is practically non verbal. A bit more compassion towards our situation wouldve been appreciated, as we did really want to stay, but left due to situations out of our control. You would think that given our situation, they wouldve had a bit more leniency towards us. We ended up lost for suitable ommodation options and this resulted in us having to drive back to christchurch in the middle of the night. I also noticed that there was no lift. This is probably the most least accessible hotel i have ever come across and i would not recommend it to anyone with any health problems or disabilities.

Property is clean and room was of a good size, however, it is on a main railway and highway. It is also quite a distance from other dining options.

Had dinner at Jacobs grill. Far and away the best food I have had in Greymouth. The breakfast buffet was good too :)

We were situated at the rear of the property at the cemetery end and there was no wifi available, there is no air-conditioning and very little ability to get fresh air into the room as the window opening was fixed. A small fan was available. The property is tired and needs updating although some attempt has been made with furnishings. The tv was fuzzy, some of the electrical switches didnt operate.

On the main road so easy to find and access. Shower silicon needs jenola clean. Comfortable bed. Overall a good stay

We were somewhat disappointed with several matters. We were in a motel unit and were surprised to find only two cups and saucers. There was no cutlery or crockery for breakfast or any other meals . No telephone facilities, only in house option. Looked like they would have wanted us to wash cups but no detergent supplied. Only rinsing not a good option.

Had overnight stay in twin double bed room. Bed springs failing so lumpy in places. Bathroom sliding door very unstable. OK for short stay. The Hotel is however quite a way from Greymouth centre. To far to walk

TV kept freezing resulting in having to switch off at wall and restart. TV reception was terrible, very fuzzy picture and not ability to stream content. Glass entry door with no covering so light coming into room at 5.30am.

The hotel is an ideal one night stop, but there's really not much to see and do around. It looks a little lost there by the road.

Staff were very lovely and professional. There was a small room mix up but it was quickly sorted and they very kindly put us in a larger room. Overall the whole place was very tidy and well maintained. Also, the shower pressure was fantastic! Would happily choose to return again.
