My husband and I recently stayed at Aqui Hoy for 4 nights and while it was a bit isolated, it was a relaxing and peaceful location. We had the place to ourselves, so that was lovely, but I do think that having neighbours in the adjoining cabin would have impacted on our privacy, had there been someone in the room beside us. Katy and Marcel were welcoming and friendly. It was an added bonus to have a restaurant on site. The food was wholesome and reasonably priced. As were the local beer options. We made use of the kayaks on hand, and enjoyed the sun in the lounge chairs. Marcel took us out to Hospital Point to do some snorkeling one day, and that was a good outing. A few improvements that would make for a better stay would be to have a sliding screen door so that a breeze can come through in the evening and at night, since there is no AC, and the no-see ‘ems come out at dusk and in the morning. It would have nice to have had more options for breakfast. And we were a bit surprised that we had to settle our tab in cash, but could charge the amount for our nightly stay. Aqui Hoy is a solid 3 star accommodation, better than ok as the rating seems to denote in Expedia.

The location is amazing with beautiful views and the accommodations are cozy and comfortable. The place is spotless and well cared for and the food is delicious!

Pas de ménage sur 3 jours donc des cafards .Du bruit. On ne se sent pas particulièrement bien . Attitude plus positive du personnel les 2 jours restants. Promiscuité avec la chambre attenante surtout si ceux qui l’occupent ne sont pas discrets

The location was just far enough away from the busy Bocas Town it made it feel like we were on our own private island. Attractive rooms with the best view and an overall inviting aura. The thing that made this an 11/10 is the food and food service. Every meal was amazing and served with a friendly smile. The lounge chairs on the deck made it hard to leave this serine location.

If you're looking to unplug for a few days, Aqui Hoy is absolutely fantastic!! Quiet, small, intimate with personalized service. Cathy was very hospitable & warm, plus she cooks all 3 meals AND is the bartender. Simply wonderful. Somewhat rustic but it was what we were looking for, if you want to enjoy the action in Boca, water taxi will have you there in 7min. But the water views, solitude and pure relaxation was great. We will absolutely return! We stayed for 2 nights just to get a feel for Bocas del Toro. There's so much to do near the cabins, but if you're interested in just relaxing THIS is a great place to do it!

Everything was a problem. The hotel didn’t tell us how to get there, so we had to figure it out on our own. They only accept cash for most things. Meals were overpriced and it is the only option due to location. Beds were uncomfortable, there were no basic amenities like shampoo or hot water, and we had to negotiate for cleaning services. The staff were nice but the stay was simply poor value.

Really enjoyed Katy and her family ! Meals were delicious .

Nice and private over water bungalow. 15-20 minute paddle board ride to the Blue Coconut which is highly recommended visit. You are a bit isolated and need to coordinate water taxi to get to places but Kathy was super hospitable, made great drinks on premises, Pina Colada was fantastic! She make a great meal and can do off menu options for more local options. Beautiful to hear the sound of the water outside your bedroom, dance in the rain and enjoy the solitude. Highly recommend for Isla Solarte and a unique experience!!

It was very nice and peaceful. Definitely the place to go to get away.

Very nice bungalows, very quiet place, perfect to relax. Since the hotel only has 4 rooms, the service and whole experience is very personalized. We booked a tour with Rod, one of the employees, and had a great time. It was a bit pricey, but in return we had a private tour (just the two of us vs. the tour boats with 20 people), and he made adjustments according to our wishes. Had a great time! Unfortunately (but obviously not the hotel’s fault) there are TONS of sandflies because it’s so close to the mangroves, so at some point we had so many bites that we couldn’t really enjoy being outside anymore. So if you’re very sensitive to those kind of things, you might want to look for a hotel closer to town.

We spent two nights at Aqui hoy and did not want to leave! David and Catherine were both so warm and welcoming. The location is excellent. Although you’re only a 5-10 Minute boat ride from town- it feels as if you’re staying on your own private island. Catherine whipped us up the „special“ for dinner both nights and it was by far the best meal we’ve had in panama! The snorkeling was fun too - just keep an eye out for those sting rays!

The hotel is secluded and has only four rooms, so is perfect for a nice relaxing holiday. The food was fresh and delicious and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

very relaxing, the owners are great staff is friendly, food is great, however, I wish there were more veggie or fish options. It's clean and comfortable. Overlooking the ocean, very nice way to end our trip.

+ Employée/gestionnaire très gentil + Beauté de l’établissement et propreté. - Aucune insonorisation entre les chambres (on entend les moindres faits et gestes des voisins...) - Aucune intimité (rideau transparent, on voit dans les autres chambres le soir/nuit) - lit qui craque au moindre mouvement - nourriture très de base - eau chaude de la douche instable et utilisable que 30 secondes. Bref pour le prix, nous avons été extrêmement déçu.

The owner as well as his son and nephew were fantastic! It was secluded and the food was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend! We plan on going back next Year!

Stayed for 3 nights and would definitely stay again. The property is a 10 minute boat ride away from the main land. Water taxi ranges from $5 pp to $10 pp each way depending on time of day. Breakfast was included with the rate. We had fresh fruit with an egg, toast, coffee or tea and fresh orange juice daily. There is no air conditioning, but there is a fan that adequately draws in fresh air to cool the room. There is no refrigerator or safe in the room. We kept a luggage lock on the bags during excursions and turned the second sink in to a quick cooler one night after grabbing a bag of ice and beers from the main land. Aqui Ahoy has a restuarant (semi fixed menu) and full bar. Both meals we tried were fresh and delicious and the drinks were creative and refreshing. The service was exceptional. The owner and his son are hospitable and accommodating.
