Avant at The Fort

I hope the host or manager of this accommodation sees this. 1. I saw 5 cockroaches in 10 minutes. (table, kitchen, pillow) 2. My family escaped to the lobby at night. I tried to call the staff through security, but the staff did not answer the phone. 3. A phone call with security staff was eventually successful, but she told me to use spray in the room for cockroaches. 4. She said she would discuss it with her family and hung up first. 5. After waiting in the lobby for about 20 minutes, I tried to call her again to request a refund, but she did not answer the phone. In the end, I had no choice but to spend the night here, feeling very uncomfortable and anxious. * The staff at the front desk is very unfriendly as well. (She is a woman with glasses and short hair. I could not confirm her name. I was told that she was the staff member who had called Security about the cockroaches.)

Nice stay. But no storage service of your belongings before/after checking/checkout. Quite inconvenient! Booked room for 3 pax, got towels, bedsheet for 2.

It's an apartment within a basic condo. The place was clean and tidy but the amenties were average. The toilet was basic and the beds were too soft for my liking. Not recommend if you are generally used to a hotel like setting with brightly lit corridors and security.

The building maintenance is poor, but all else was ok.

I made reservations for a family of 3. The bedroom accommodated 2 people on the bed. My daughter was to sleep on the couch, but surprisingly, it was not a pull-out couch. The couch was not long enough for her to sleep comfortably. There was a thin mat to sleep on the floor, which was extremely uncomfortable. It should not be advertised as sleeping more than 2 people. My daughter had no blanket provided for her to use. When I inquired about a blanket, I was told that the flat sheet provided was considered a blanket. Ridiculous that a real blanket was not included in the unit. The furniture was cheap and felt like it could break at any moment. The views were amazing, though. I would stay at BGC again, the area felt safe and there were many eating options close by. I would not stay at Avant again.

Great unit. Host was super responsive and helpful.

The location is great (a couple of blocks from the Mind Museum and Bonifacio High Street) and the size of the place (Elite Condo) was perfect for our family (couple and toddler, parents) with the 2 rooms, living room, washer, multiple bathrooms, etc. The security is super friendly, there is a good gym and outdoor pool. During our time there, the elevators were hit-and-miss though. One of them was normally out of order and another just seemed to work sometimes which could potentially mean some long wait times since it's somewhat of a high-rise.

Comfy Place to stay. Everything you need is just within reach.
