The Funny Lion El Nido

Very clean! Very kind staff. Good food, breakfast and drinks. Nice pool. They have a private beach called Papaya Beach, a very clean one too. The ride to the private beach is free with a great tour guide. The beach has great spot for snorkeling. I highly highly recommend this place!

Excellent!! Staff is what really makes this resort. Shout out to Val from front desk who literally remembers every single guest name in the hotel. Also, Vince (server/bartender) who took care of us. The complimentary trip to Papaya beach was the highlight of the our stay, thanks to Val for convincing us to go:)

Excellent staffing!

A great hotel for a stopover enroute to the islands. Ask for a room away from the road, given the traffic noise can be loud. Nice breakfast and staff lovely. A sanctuary from the busy town.

The staff is amazing. Property is clean and the ocean is only 2 minutes away. Shops and restaurants are only minutes away as well. The food is great. The only negative is that they don't have an elevator/lift.

The best! Everything was 10000/10!

It was a fantastic trip with great accommodations. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown, and the staff and customer service were top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel and place.

This is an amazing property that has great water pressure, with comfortable beds! The water is all filtered so you do not need to worry when brushing teeth! The staff go above and beyond! They are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable! It is a safe haven for rest and relaxation after a long day on the water! I definitely recommend!

Amazing staff!! I loved how Val remembered every guest's name and addressed them every time she saw them. The hotel is located at a very good location, right next to the town square. The rooms are very botique styled, small but cute! We had an amazing time at Funny lion and would recommend to all.

The staff was awesome. The free breakfast buffet was good and the rooms were clean. Would stay here again.

Main complaint is the poor communication between hotels.com and The Funny Lion despite communicating with each individually to change a booking. Ended up paying for nights we didn’t stay despite requesting change before cut off date. The hotel itself was nice and in a good location to restaurants

This was a couples scuba diving trip for my wife and I, where the highlight of our trip to El Nido was the staff at The Funny Lion Hotel. Incredibly, every time one of us walked past a staff member we were greeted by name! Whether Zel, Val, Sharmaine, Julie, CJay, Kem and Kim in the reception area or Cham at bar, all of them called us by our name from day one of our week-long visit. Their warm Filipino gesture came along with the delicious local and western breakfast together with daily access to the Hotel's private Papaya Beach, just a short boat ride away at a nearby hidden cove.

The staff is great. Starting from security at the front steps who opens car doors and makes you feel welcome each day and evening. Val at the front desk was above and beyong sweet and friendly. All the staff learns your name. They are super sweet and kind. Will definitely stay there again.

Estadia excelente! O atendimento é impecável e fazem de tudo pra nos sentirmos em casa. Café da manhã com diversas opções e bem servido. A Localização é privilegiada com restaurantes próximos, Pier e ATM acessíveis. Eles também organizam todo passeio/ transfer que precisarmos a um preço compatível com o restante da ilha. Recomendo!

Amazing service and staff! Val and front desk staff remembered our names and we had a group of 18 people! Our family enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend Funny Lion!

Fantastisk flott hotell i sentrum av El Nido. En høy pris kontra det meste annet av overnattingssteder , men flotte rom, eksepsjonell service, deilig frokost og det lille ekstra til enhver tid. Hadde gjerne blitt værende på The Funny Lion i et par uker vi! Drar gjerne tilbake igjen. Eneste negative er den høye prisen.

Very nice hotel, pool is amazing, food is amazing and bed is soft.

There is no elevator....the bathroom is small and not user friendly.the staff was helpfull and friendly.overpriced for what they offer
