The host came into my room in the middle of the night unnanounced. She was dropping off my breakfast as she said she had no other guests so wouldnt be serving breakfast the next day. I heard guests coming in and out of the property all night so im not sure if maybe they had booked last minute. Anyways, she entered my room without knocking at 11PM waking me out of my sleep. The amenities list a bar/lounge and restaurant but these dont exist on the property. Plan to bring food or have a vehicle to go for dinners as there are very limited taxis in the area.

The location is completely out of the way, a mightmare to get there

Artvilla is the absolute best property I have ever stayed at in my entire life, it is such a beautiful quiet property, the pool is amazing and the host is the kindest woman I have ever met! Seriously stay here, you will have an amazing time the property itself is enough to have holiday here!

Beim Check-In hab ich eher zufällig die Putzfrau auf mich aufmerksam machen können. Aufs Klingeln hat sich keiner gemeldet… Zimmer war nicht für drei Personen bereit. Das dritte Bett war dann ein Klappbett mit drei geteilten Kissen als Matratze. Bezogen haben wir es dann selbst. Im Bad waren kleine Tierchen am Boden, die immer über die Füsse gekrochen sind…. Einrichtung war hübsch und ideenreich.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich schön und sehr gemütlich. Man muss sich mit dem Bellen der Hunde in der Nachbarschaft und dem Gong der Kirche arrangieren. Wir haben es nach ein paar Tagen gar nicht mehr wahrgenommen. Die Unterkunft selber hat uns super gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Uma agradável surpresa, espaço com muito bom gosto onde fomos graciados com pequenos mimos aqui e ali. A limpeza é exemplar. A simpatia acima da média que chega a tocar no ambiente familiar.

Absolutely amazing location and hosts.Perfect for English speaking guests.Super comfortable and superb Breakfast i didn’t need lunch after it there was so much on offer.This is the place to stay when visiting this majestic mountains and quaint Country side. Det fineste lille sted med fin service og fantastisk morgenmad. Meget smukt dekoreret og helt privat.

This is a very beautiful space, well kept, with nice and cozy houses and a delicious breakfast. It is located in a small and very quiet village with view to the mountains, and you can hear the church bells. Very peaceful. To improve only the check-in as we had to wait a few minutes and there were no signs on the doors information on local activities (opening hours of museums, etc.)

Es un bed and bresfast rural. Por ello, no tienen muchos servicios, incluido las habitaciones, que sólo las arreglan dos veces en semana. El entorno cercano a la Sierra de Montejunto es sensacional, los edificios, decoración y habitaciones muy cuidados y con gusto, las camas cómodas, el desayuno buffet es pequeño pero completo, si quieres uno huevos te los hacen en el momento. La atención de las personas es excelente, preocupados por que pases unos buenos días y te aconsejan sobre actividades a hacer en la zona. Buena relación calidad-precio. Lo peor, las carreteras comarcales de la zona. Preferíamos volvernos de las excursiones antes de que anocheciera, no nos sentíamos seguros circulando por ellas.

Correu como previsto, simpáticos e agradáveis, apenas dormimos , aldeia muito simpática. Um bom local para ficar

We were pleasantly impressed with the professionalism seen in every detail, from the printed tags identifying every kind of jam on the buffet breakfast counter to the overall cleanliness of the rooms and premises, including the outside areas. On our next trip to the area, as we are likely to come and visit family there, this will definitely be the place where we will stay.

This is rather an out of the way place that we chose as being fairly close to Lisbon for our flight home, so can't comment on what there is to see locally. It's in a small village and the nearest restaurants are a short drive away. From our experience of one meal, the cuisine is best described as "robust" rather than refined! The place itself is very nicely appointed. The room is large with quality furnishings and an outside door gives easy access for luggage. The owner speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable and keen to chat. Although we were the only guests on the night we stayed, the breakfast spread was vast and the home made jams extremely tasty.
