This 5 star resort is beautiful! Well kept. Rooms are amazing and very clean. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Their World Café International buffet restaurant had a great selection of food and lots of fresh local fruits! Service is amazing with cooked to order omelette station and cooked to order meats and fish to grill in front of you. The Cocoa Cafe is where you can order drinks and coffee drinks until 10pm. They also served sandwiches and tasty baked foods. The service here was superb! However, their a la carte restaurants need a lot of improvement. First of all, all their a la carte restaurants (except for the Você Beach bar and their sports bar restaurant) need reservation. Reservations are difficult to book through their online system. A la carte restaurants were disappointing and food & service was subpar. Seating areas by the bars and the pools were limited. It was a beautiful resort but didn't offer 5 star service overall. I would not go back or recommend this place. Not worth the money.

Good n quiet property

A nossa estadia correu lindamente. O pessol eram todos simpático e amáveis. Só acho que no jantar no buffe as comidas deveriam estar identificadas .Tinha muita variadada mas muitas não sabíamos o que era !!

Awesome place

The villa was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed and more. The resort had plenty of food options that were all great. Service was good. Our personal small villa pool had warm water but every other pool on the resort was cold and there were no hot tubs. The kids splash pad was a nice surprise as it was not advertised on their website. Location was close to a beautiful hike but a little far from the city. Keep in mind that parking and shuttles cost extra. Some things that were not so great are that our balcony doors would not open or unlock at all downstairs and the doors in the upstairs balcony would not lock. The bathroom also had some plumbing connection issue and although it was thoroughly cleaned it always smelled of piss.

The check-in process took three hours, and unfortunately, our bags were delivered to the wrong room. Securing dinner reservations at one of the "exclusive" restaurants proved to be quite challenging. The buffet offerings for both dinner and breakfast were disappointingly cold and lacked flavor. In the evening, it was difficult to order a drink as the bar backs did not take orders only the waiters did. The accommodations were clean, and the pictures accurately represented their appearance.

Fantastic rooms, great food. There perhaps does need to be some persistence in training staff and getting them to use their initiative, but they were generally friendly. Location good, though further out from Funchal, so you just need to be organised if planning days out. Great for a chilled AI holiday!

Die Anlage ist wie ein kleines Dorf aufgebaut. Wir konnten alle Spezialitäten Restaurants über die App buchen. Qualität sehr gut, sehr guter Service.

Grosse, schöne Hotelanlage (all inclusive), verteilt auf mehrere Gebäude am Hang, liegt recht abgelegen und es geht immer ein Wind. Ich hatte zum Glück ein Zimmer nahe dem Hauptgebäude, wo die Rezeption und einige Restaurants waren. Das Essen war im Restaurant sehr gut, beim Buffett so lala. Den Tisch in den Restaurants (ausser Buffett) musste man im voraus in einer App buchen und man musste schnell sein, da sie Plätze rasch ausgebucht waren. Der SPA war noch nicht offen, dafür Massage und Schönheitssalon. Preise für Massagen sind für Portugal sehr hoch. Die Tiefgarage ist jetzt in Betrieb. Ein Platz kostet € 12.50 pro Tag. Gratis Parkplätze hat es in der Nähe, sind aber schnell belegt. Ein Wermutstropfen... zum Koffer abholen lassen muss man vorreservieren. Das hatte ich nicht gemacht und musste mein Gepäck durch die ganze Anlage schleppen

Terrible service and terrible food

Beautiful, safe and secure resort with excellent facilities. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had a sea view room (adults only block) which was really spacious, quiet and clean. Great selection of restaurants to eat at but we couldn’t get booked in to most for dinner due to already being at full capacity however, we were only there for 3 nights so if we had stayed longer, we would have been able to experience the different ones. The world buffet was always an option if you can’t get in to eat at the others. Overall we were very impressed for a first time all inclusive hotel break and we would definitely return back for longer next time.

5 Sterne Meeresrauschen mit lecker Essen

This was the most amazing resort I’ve ever stayed in! Close to some great hikes and the people there were fantastic!! Highly recommend!

Es war fantastisch! Das Hotel bietet sehr viel. Es ist in einer wunderschönen Landschaft eingebettet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich nur leider im Selbstbedienungsrestaurant teilweise nicht sehr geschickt. Ärgerlich ist, dass mir mein Original Ladekabel(fast charger) aus dem Zimmer gestohlen wurde bzw. mit einem anderen ausgetauscht. Das Hotel hat mir leider bis jetzt nicht geantwortet.

The resort is very clean and staff are super friendly and helpful! The views from the hotel are astonishing! The buffet restaurant has sufficient variety and with good quality. I have a positive experience overall. Some area for improvement: booking restaurant could be very difficult, room service lady forgot to come back to clean the room. It’s mainly due to short of staffs since the week we visited was Easter holiday and the hotel is in the process of getting ready to run at full capacity.

We enjoyed the selection of food at the restaurants, and the quality of restaurant food, variety of drinks and cocktails, and the quality of the resort. Service could be better. At check in our room took 1.5hrs longer than we were told it would do, and then on arrival at the room we found our case had not been delivered and was still in reception (despite being assured it would be in the room). Waits for drinks and to have orders taken was highly variable, sometimes fast and efficient, sometimes very slow. Drinks and food would occasionally be mixed up or forgotten. That aside we had a great time overall.

The staff was not very helpful and often rude. Any time we met a polite staff member, they turned out to be a supervisor. There are multiple pools but all are in the low 60s (F) so too cold to go in. We saw one person swimming in one- that’s it- during a four day stay. The buffet is all lukewarm food and it’s the only food you can get unless you make reservations- which would be fine except they don’t tell you that until check in and then you can’t get a reservation at any of the restaurants for days, so you can either eat the lukewarm flavorless buffet, or you eat off property, so basically just ignore the all-inclusive benefit because it’s not legit. Other services advertised, like the boats from the marina, simply weren’t happening. It says three times a day every day but when we tried to book they said there were no boats at all that day. Overall just a complete ripoff. Could have stayed somewhere nice for a fraction of the price.
