The Hotel is very nice and close to the ocean and beaches. It is also a short walk to the small town.

Un très bel hôtel avec de superbes services, très belle chambre, vue mer. Spacieuse et confortable, un service de chambre de qualité, la chambre est tenue propre, café, eau et changement des serviettes chaque jour. Linge de lit changé à la demande. 2 belles piscines avec hammam et sauna. La possibilité de faire des soins (massages), des animations, musicien, chanteuse le soir (on aimerait que ça dure un peu plus tard que 22h). Très bon petit déjeuner, très varié. Un restaurant et bar de qualité. Les serveurs ainsi que la réception sont professionnel et très agréable. Un des meilleurs hôtels que j'ai fait au cours de mes voyages.

The property was gorgeous, definitely recommend the breakfast and dining there for dinner- the sunset views are amazing. The bed was comfy and the room was clean.

Ein toller Aufenthalt! Der Spa-Bereich ist recht klein, jedoch durchaus schön. Frühstück war üppig, aber etwas eintönig. Trotzdem war alles lecker! Die Zimmer sind geräumig und das Hotel ist angenehm ruhig.

Good pool and nice service

The mattress is very hard and not comfortable.

There is a great indoor pool and very friendly staff members. Breakfast is great, and the restaurant and bar are nice. Sometimes, they have live music at night. We enjoyed the pool table every day, too. We love the ocean view, and the kids like to say hi to the horse remotely in the morning.

Our stay at Hotel Verde Mar & Spa in Ribeira Grande was a great escape. The location is fantastic, nestled by Monte Verde Beach and close to a charming little town that’s fun to explore. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, we enjoyed the amenities, especially the indoor pool and sauna, which were perfect for relaxing. The staff really stood out—they were incredibly helpful with booking activities and ready to assist with anything we needed during our stay, which made the trip run smoothly. Breakfast was another highlight—everything was fresh and delicious. And while the ocean views from the restaurant and pool added a lovely touch to the experience, the overall atmosphere was peaceful without being overly flashy. It’s a solid choice for a laid-back stay in the Azores, balancing comfort and convenience well.

My friend and I stayed here for 9 days and it felt like home after a while. The staff was so friendly, greeting us coming and going like we were family! The free breakfasts were delicious and well-rounded -- everything you could possibly want. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant one night (there were plenty of options nearby as well, so we tried a new one every night) and the service and food was exceptional. The beach nearby was wonderful for walks (though it was too cold for us to swim in March). Driving around the island was very easy; our location allowed us to visit anywhere we wanted within 30-60 minute drive.

Everything about this place was great… It was super clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was amazing!! Would definitely stay here again and again!

Das Hotel war Super! Werde ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Leider ist zwischen Jotel und Meer ein etwas ungepflegter Kanal und eine kleine Müllabladestelle..... Ansonsten Toll !

Fantastique séjour au sein de l'hôtel Verde Mar. Le personnel est vraiment au petit soin et toujours accueillant de la réception à celui du SPA. La chambre vue mer est fabuleuse, spacieuse et a une literie très confortable. Les équipements piscine, salle de sport, billard..sont très sympathiques. L'emplacement de l'hôtel permet de rayonner facilement pour découvrir les beautés de l'île de Sáo Miguel. Petit bémol pour le petit-déjeuner où les mets chauds (oeufs au plat, brouillé, champignons, pancake ...) étaient à peine tiède. Nous recommandons cet hôtel pour un séjour détente dans un cadre très agréable.
