Ganz bezaubernder Ort. Ich habe mich als alleinreisende Frau sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage war super, das Zimmer schön. Das Frühstück war ein Traum.

En general todo con respecto al hotel ha sido genial, el personal, amable y correcto. Un poco retirado, pero para descansar es ideal. Lo recomiendo para aquellos que quieren desconectar y descansar.

Very nice hotel. Modern with all you needed for a stay. Close to all major roads, walking was safe and staff members helpful. Our room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator) but not an issue for us, may be for some. Hot water took about 5 minutes to get to the shower in the morning, once it was there it was ready to go.

The breakfast was fantastic! A lot of choices, very fresh, a lot of healthy options. The staff were very friendly and efficient. It was a relaxing place to come back to each day! Very clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured!

Initially the name of the place raised some concern. However, entry into the house reveals this is no ordinary hotel. It is exquisitely designed, with spectacular spaces, a marvelous pool and great staff. So, I give high marks for what is truly a charming house.

Bereits der Check-In hat uns irritiert. Der Mitarbeiter hat uns direkt ein Steakhouse empfohlen, zu dem wir unbedingt müssen. Danach gefragt, hatten wir nicht. Kam uns so vor, als würde er dafür Provision bekommen… Die „Suite“ ist ein ganz normales Zimmer. Das Bad nur durch eine Glaswand und Tür abgetrennt. Keine Privatsphäre. Der Zustand des Zimmers war nicht gut. Sowohl im Bad, als auch im Schlafbereich bröckelt der Putz von der Wand. Zudem hatten wir eine Ameisenstrasse quer durchs Zimmer. Das ganze Gebäude ist sehr hellhörig. Wenn der Nebenmann auf die Toilette geht, hört man alles. Das Frühstück bietet eine große Auswahl. Allerdings ist die Qualität ausbaufähig. Es war das erste Mal in 3 Wochen Azoren, wo es keinen frischgepressten Saft gab. Convenience überwiegt: Pancakes, Aufbackbrötchen, Mini-Gebäck usw. Das Rührei war auch grieselig, als wäre es aus Pulver. Lediglich das Obst, das Müsli und der Käse waren gut. Für unseren Geschmack auf Masse ausgelegt, nicht auf Qualität. Wir würden keine 18€ für dieses Buffet bezahlen. Was uns zudem geärgert hat, war das der Pool einen kompletten Nachmittag bis 19 Uhr wegen einer Feier gesperrt wurde. Keine Entschuldigung, keine Entschädigung. Nichts. Zudem haben die externen Gäste alle Parkplätze des Hotels blockiert, so dass wir andere Parkmöglichkeiten suchen mussten. Für uns ein Reinfall! Können wir definitiv nicht empfehlen. Es gibt günstigere und viel bessere Unterkünfte.

Like: property is clean, has good kitchen, decent breakfast, provide beach towels. Do Not Like: poor ventilation in the room, no closets, no private lights in the room, turning the light in the bathroom- lights the entire room The hotel charged us above the price paid on Expedia during the reservation and the price we agreed on via messages with owner. we booked the extra night due to early morning arrival, but our flight was late and hotel did not provide us breakfast we asked in advance and paid for .Owner never contacted us there.

Beautiful property, very safe. Breakfast was excellent, pool very warm, plenty of lounge chairs, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

Man kann neben seinem Zimmer auch die komplette Anlage benutzen. Zum Beispiel: Küche, Wohnzimmer, Essbereich, Garten, Pool (24/7). Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war grandios. Es gibt eine Bar am Pool und man kann Kleinigkeiten wie Wein in der Unterkunft kaufen. In der Nähe ist ein Supermarkt. Man hat private Parkplätze vor dem Haus.

Friendly staff, helpful to recommend restaurants in the area and also suggestions for rest of our trip. Lots of seating areas around the property both inside and out. Great had access to a kitchen.

Highly recommend this place to people traveling to Sao Miguel. The hotel and staff were great. It was an excellent location and the staff was very helpful on what to see on the island.

Had a wonderful time here, would recommend. Clean rooms, was quiet, friendly staff, great breakfast buffet included, and access to a heated pool.

The house was amazing! We had a week here and everything was great, we travelled without a car and the reception staff were very helpful in suggesting a reliable taxi and tips for where to go. We really enjoyed the heated pool after walking the trails! And breakfast was delicious. Everything at Volcanic Charming House was perfect

This is a wonderful place to stay! We arrived a little early but they were able to accommodate us. They gave us a tour and made us feel welcomed. The breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious. The staff was attentive and helpful. Duarte helped us book a whale watch and warned us we needed to book the thermal spring baths ahead of time. The room was clean and comfortable. I liked being able to open the windows. We could hear the ocean surf when we didn't hear the neighborhood dogs barking. We were pleasantly surprised to have shared access to a balcony with chairs and a table. Watching the sunset with a bottle of wine we purchased from the hotel was a great way to end the day. They had a decent selection of wines to choose from. The heated outdoor pool was enjoyable and the grounds were well kept. It was super nice to have kitchen access with an assigned shelf in the fridge and a cabinet with plates and glasses to use. It was clean, modern and equipped with whatever utensils you needed to cook or reheat a meal. There were 2 grocery stores within walking distance. It was a short walk to town and the beach. Parking was off street and easy. The location was central for exploring Sao Miguel. We stayed a week and were very satisfied. We highly recommend the Volcanic Charming House!

The property is lovely with equally lovely staff. Breakfast buffet was filling and great for starting the day. We loved that it was less busy than Ponta Delgado. Will stay again!
