The Riva Hotel was great, lovely staff, Irenia, and the patio was enormous and well furnished.
The kitchen had issues and could have used both a microwave and a few more drawers for utensils and food. Also there could have been more lamps for reading in the bedroom and another comfortable chair in the living room.
My biggest issue was that there was a power outage for 8 hours and a water outage the next day for over 12 hours. Neither time did the staff attempt to tell us what was going on. I know that this probably is not a usual issue but it made our stay more difficult that it needed to be. We were never offered compensation for the two disruptions.
We visited in the shoulder season and everything was closing up, but I imagine that it gets really crowded in the summer. Still, not much to do in the area, except the beach.

The hotel is very clean, cute, well designed and right on the beach. We loved our stay and would stay again. The sea was magical and just all around gorgeous. My only complaint is that they don’t provide beach towels for the beach chairs and they don’t allow you to use the bath towels either. They ask you to purchase their beach logo towels which is very inconvenient and expensive. I think if they provide towels / beach chair service they could be one of the best places in Mamaia.

Location: Situated right on the beach, RIVA offers stunning sea views. The private beach area with complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas is a delightful touch. Plus, being in the heart of Mamaia means easy access to shops, restaurants, and clubs.
Spacious Apartments: This condo exceeded my expectations. The modern design, cleanliness, and ample space made it feel like a home away from home. The kitchenette was well-equipped, complete with a coffee machine and cutlery.

The property was very clean and spacious. The manager was always accessible via WhatsApp and was very kind and communicative. The included breakfast was amazing and delivered to the room daily, which was an extra bonus. The hotel had closed down the restaurant for the winter.
The area around the hotel was very quiet and several places were completely boarded up; this was in part due to it being mid-October. The economic conditions have also impacted the area around the hotel and the hotel’s beach area, as the number of visitors declining throughout the last few years. Parking was very easy.

Resteraunt was not open, no notification on check in procedures (no one was at the property, we were dropped off and called to leave to find another hotel and found the note to call) wasn’t the room that was purchased on the app, and there is a club adjacent that is so loud it sounds like you are attending. The staff was nice that was there, the rooms were not bad but not well constructed. Way over priced for what you get.

The breakfast which was included had a good choice of food but was not tasty. The souvlaki bar is not great in terms of food quality. Our room was not the cleanest and some furniture was broken.

We came during off season so the area was more or less closed down but the apartment itself exceeded any expectations. We loved it! My parents and my husband and I spent my 50th there, the apartment, fabulous! The breakfasts! Better than I could expect. One non-issue because we drank lots of wine… the nightclub was loud.. really, really loud. If that bothers you, maybe not the place for you but we didn’t care at all. The beds were sooo comfy! We’d go again. We’d recommend.

The apartment itself was great - nice size and had silverware/plates/coffee maker/etc. the balcony was spacious too. Check in was a little confusing - it wasn’t clear where to park and when we called no one answered but we were able to figure it out once we went and found the front desk. Service on the beach/at the restaurant was slow/non-existent but the hotel and room itself were great! They also delivered breakfast each morning to our room which was very nice.

This was the best property in the entire area by far. The location was perfect next to all the fun stuff and had its own private beach. The staff was amazing and when my hair dryer wasn’t working they promptly bought a new one. The breakfast was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!!
