We had such a wonderful stay at The Forest with our baby Soleil on her very first trip to St. Maarten 🌿✨ The Forest is a beautiful boutique hotel, tucked away in the mountains on the quieter side of the island—perfect if you’re looking for peace and relaxation. Our room was comfortable and very spacious (honestly, more space than we needed since we love being out and exploring!), but it made our stay feel extra luxurious. One of our favourite parts was the private outdoor area. We spent time just sitting outside, enjoying the cool tradewinds and soaking in the hot tub—such a peaceful vibe. The food was also a highlight. Breakfast was always filling and delicious, and everything we had was well prepared and satisfying. Our host was incredibly pleasant and accommodating, and the staff were all so warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. We rented a vehicle, so getting around the island was easy despite being nestled in the hills. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and made such special memories for Soleil’s first trip. We would definitely return and highly recommend The Forest to anyone visiting St. Maarten 💚

I stayed at The Forest on a solo holiday and just got back home. I loved everything about this place: it was out of the way and so there wasn't the noise that comes with staying in a town, it was small and intimate, it was beautifully landscaped, the service was top notch and the owners were so attentive. I came as my last holiday before hip replacement surgery this summer and because my walking is compromised, Marco very kindly drove me to and from the beach for a day so I could enjoy the ocean (it's only a 5 minute walk down the hill for those who aren't mobility challenged!) Oh, and the food and drinks were 5-star. I know you're not supposed to order a drink that isn't tropical while holidaying in the tropics, but when I nevertheless ordered an old fashioned, Marco made his first one for me and it was excellent. The room I stayed in was luxurious and beautifully decorated and the area around the pool was comfortable and restful. Pool was just the right size and depth, and very refreshing; I could still stand in the deep end. Daily breakfast was generous and very tasty, lunch was equally delicious (Wed-Sun) and dinner is served Fridays and Saturdays. The staff were all lovely and kind. 5/5 I would certainly return. Thank you all!

Staff was amazing. We had some issues with our toilet and sink in our room but staff was very quick to try and resolve the issue. Staff was very friendly, food was great. We had no complaints are all.

An oasis in the hills above Anse Marcel. Lovely property, beautiful rooms, great food and warm, welcoming hosts!

Amazing owners and really nice property...the location was my only issues which I blame myself. I did no research as it is far and secluded. I should have rsearch more but still the onwer made we feel very welcome and the cosiness of the place also helped. WILL RECOMMEND if you need a cozy, isolated and comfortable location.

Very upscale property—yet had laidback feel…Peggy was a gracious host who sent us a bottle of champagne for our anniversary — and we were well taken care of by Marie and Marco the entire time there…beautiful property, spacious room with garden and Jacuzzi, and privacy

This is a great place stay while in Saint Martin. Anse Marcel is very quiet with a nice, quiet, beautiful beach. A few good places to eat nearby as well. We stayed half our trip here and then another place another place nearby. The place nearby was awesome but hard to rate 5/5 after staying at The Forest. The suites here are spacious, clean and quiet with everything you need. Staff are all great as well. Would definitely stay here again on another trip. We loved Saint Martin so I think coming back is a for sure thing.

Little far from shops and restaurants . Very quiet.

Marco and Peggy were the perfect hosts. They explained how everything in the suite worked and made sure we were comfortable. A wonderful experience.

Wonderful, intimate spa like in. Modern rooms, excellent wifi, comfortable bed. If you choose, we used kitchen for our meals, but the food was very good at the poolside bar restaurant. A car is recommended as it's quite hilly. This area has great restaurants and beaches close by, and a nice taste of French culture. Peggy is a wonderful hostess. A great escape!

This stay was such a wonderful gem in a beautiful area! Especially the room with the outdoor private jacuzzi. It was so nice and relaxing. We enjoyed our little staycation to the fullest. The lady was also very friendly and helpful. We will be coming back again for sure!
