I didn't expect luxury but it was bad. The bedding was worn and pilling so it felt dirty. The shower might rank as the worst shower I have ever had. I didn't wash my hair for fear of never getting the shampoo out and it was barely warm. The room was not filthy but definitely grubby and had a damp smell. The only save was that it was above a pub full of locals that were friendly and entertaining on a Karaoke night. The big problem with them was that the smokers were under the window after we retired and were loud. I've stayed in worse accomodations, but they were a small town in the former Soviet Union.

The hotels location is great! All amenities like hairdryer, fan etc. were there. Room looks good. But the shower cabin could be renewed as I felt quite claustrophobic. And the main thing that the window was really dirty. I have kids. So obviously they checked everything, they were standing by the window it was all moldy and super dirty. Otherwise room for a night is great.

Great folks! This is a basic room above a pub, so if you are expecting something besides thar you might be disappointed.

Location Location Location. That is about it. This place was very run down. Our room was just so dirty and there were towels stuffed in the window... Not sure why. Maybe as it doesn't properly seal or close? Not ideal for a family, but amazing location to be able to walk around. Kinda noisy, as the bar is down below and our room looked right onto the street. On the first morning, I was awoken around 4:30am by the loud banging and clamouring of someone putting recycling out or something like that. Took a while to get hot water in the shower. Room was so hot and stuffy, but thankfully there was a fan in the room we could plug in. Affordable, but don't expect much. Not that clean. Thankfully, it was just a place to crash, as we were out on the island and walking around for most of our time in Oban.

As we expected. It is not the Ritz. Rooms above a pub. Excellent location. Quiet clean room. It was all we needed for one night. Would definitely book again.

Great budget option

Basic quite sparse accommodation in a good location (one night was a bit noisy outside).

Good nice clean needs updated but we are going back in August. Loved the banter in the bar with the locals staff very nice and cheerful

This is an old hotel. Clean and tidy. Walking distance to town centre and some of the main sites. Quiet. (We were on 3rd floor). No lift but that was ok for us. Character - slightly sloping floor. Good value

The property has a very good central location in Oban. Nothing is very far away. However the ground floor is actually a pub which isn't mentioned in the advertising but there is a side door to get into the upstairs accommodation. The rooms were not great. Ours was quite shabby and needed redecorating. Also wasn't very clean. The " residents lounge" seemed to be a games room for the locals in the pub and not for guests unless you wanted to play darts! Bar staff were quite friendly but only checked our room once in six days. The accommodation was generally very poor but i guess that was reflected in the price. Other places in Oban could have cost up to three times as much. I've stayed in worse but I honestly cannot recommend this place. Sorry.

This photo is deceptive - there is NO sign on the front of the building about any kind of hotel, only Clary. I learned from a local at the front outside for a smoke that I needed to go to the bar inside to find the hotel. My room was dusty and dirty, toilet seat was broken, plug stopped working and I couldn't charge my phone, and everything had seen better days LONG ago. I have left more details on google, and am shocked this one was even on Hotels.com. Awful experience.

It was ok. Beds ok. Bathroom had mildew in the shower. Good location near pier.

Lokatie was top. Om de hoek van treinstation en alle restaurants, winkels enz Hotel word beetje gerenoveerd. Hotel is gevestigd boven een pub maar dat is niet hinderlijk en geeft sfeer. De badkamer was niet echt top en de lampen op de nachttkastjes (met opberg ruimte) deden het niet. Onze nieuwe dure wereldstekker heeft het begeven. Waren 7 stopkontakten. Het bed lag goed en was lekker breed, netjes en schoon. Kamer grootte was net aan goed en beschiktte over een tv. De tv stond op een 3 ladenkastje. Aan de deur hingen hangers om je jas op te hangen. Sleutel overdracht ging in de pub aan de bar. Met vriendelijke toegangsdeur instruktie voor het hotel uitleg. De twee bovenste trappen in het pand zijn erg mooi.

Schimmelige Zimmerdecke und Fensterrahmen, fleckige Bettwäsche; nettes und unkompliziertes Personal; Pub unten im Gebäude fungiert als Ersatzrezeption; zentral aber Recht ruhig gelegen; Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis trotz einiger großer Mängel eigentlich gut.

Conforme à nos attentes Hotel idealement placé, pub au rez de chaussée dans son jus Chambre spacieuse, très calme, lit confortable
